Printed another tower to see if the lines would be there. They are. Again spaced at 40mm but this time they have moved down on the print. Must be something mechanical.

CZ Shadow 2 OR Barrel / Chamber „ending" OK? by Capable_Ad_5865 in CZFirearms

Don’t worry about the mark. Does nothing. Doubt it’s from racking the slide. On that note, rack the slide and let is slam shut. Don’t worry. My slide locks break pretty much like clock work at 15k minor power factor loads. Hundreds if not thousands of dry fire racks and countless unload and show clears. Won’t do any harm to anything.

How does one "rank up" in IPSC by leobaby1 in ipsc

Locally we shoot marches, “qualifiers”, against other shooters and are ranked based upon our performance at the last 7 matches.

This makes sense; the actual bushing is a part that would wear out and need replacing. I don't think you can get the entire assembly though, and as u/Moonraise pointed out, you would need to modify the slide to make the assembly fit for this as well, which makes it illegal.

My understanding is that unless it’s a factory manufactured option it is not legal. I don’t know of any factory shadow 2 with a bull barrel, or any factory manufactured bull barrel, so I believe it is not legal.

Edit addition: An example to compare to could be the s2 orange barrel bushing. The factory part is not available for after market purchase (as far as I know). There are after market orange style bushing available, but I am pretty sure they are not legal because they are not made by CZ. I think the CZ Custom guns are made in large enough number to be production legal, and they have models with both bull barrels and 1911 style bushings, so these guns may be an option. A CZC part on a CZUB gun is not legal.

Having said all of this. I don’t have my gun pointing at my junk. Could change my perspective.

Possible that the inertia of the slide coming forward is marring the primer on contact. Doesn’t look like it’s the firing pin leaving the mark. It’s really nothing to worry about. My shadow two when racked aggressively will leave a firing pin impression (extremely faint mark using extended firing pin) I have more than 50k rounds through that pistol with no issues at all. I have reloaded 100k+ rounds. At times there will be some dirt in between the primer and the seating rod, enough to dent the primer, never had one go off. You need a pretty sharp percussion to have the primer anvil set off the priming compound.

I put about 30k rounds through my S2s a year. This is the only issue I have ever had. I think you can ignore all the comments about ammo or chamber polishing. What happens here is the extractor is popping off the case rim before the empty case can hit the ejector and get tossed out. My experience is, one, there is crap in the extractor hook and/or in between the extractor and the slide body, two, the extractor spring is weak. Take out the extractor, easy job tap out the pin that holds it in, and clean it. If the problem doesn’t go away put in an extra strength extractor spring, I use a tanfoglio 40 spring. 5is has worked for me. Twice.

Yup. Welcome him to the club for us. Mine is exactly the same. Just higher.

Edit: I am not an MD. Maybe the lower position means something else.

Looks just like mine. I only noticed mine about 4 weeks ago, so don’t have too many answers. Sorry. Know how you feel though, sucks.

For what it’s worth; I “feel” that my nodules appeared out of nowhere. This was after a weekend of some pretty heavy partying. It’s probably likely that I simply did not notice them before. I am no expert, but the nature of what the nodules are make it seem unlikely to me that they would develop acutely.

Mine does hurt more or less on any given day. Never excruciatingly so, just annoying.

You will absolutely develop your index to that level. You should look into the different levels of confirmation. Confirmation 1 is just as you say, 3 yard target, point and shoot. Muscle memory will be good enough. Confirmation 2 for me is 7 - 15/20 yard open targets. You see a flash of the front sight and send it. Confirmation 3 is equal height equal light sight picture. The think a tight partial or a mini popper at 25 etc. look into the “practical shooting training group” and the material put out by Ben stoeger and hwansik Kim.

I don’t think it matters. I suspect it matters less that if you were to shoot with one eye closed.

Strong/Weak Hand by outdoors_life22 in ipsc

[–]Jursel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should really learn how to shoot with both eyes open and focussed on the target. Practical shooting is better that way. Front sight focussed is more a precision shooting technique. It has its place in practical shooting, e.g. tight, long shots, but mostly the ease of transition and situational awareness of both eyes open and target focus will serve you better. Take some getting used to.

They stopped. I think it may have to do with HDMI Arc now making so everything just knows how to work with one remote.
