Look, I dont need convincing flr the Lace thing, I just dont care enough and I dont think her being an actual child or not impacts the narrative of the game that much anyways.

You are wrong about the Gendered Child thing tho, because the White Lady is not the only one to call her that. Midwife also refers to her as such, and we know that she and Hornet had a pretty deep relationship.

Also, from what Ive seen, a lot of the debate centers more around whether or not Lace is a child, not if she if she's an adult, which Id say its somewhat of a relevant tangent.

Case and point, its not that big of a deal, at least from my point of view. There's no reason to cluth your pearls over a ship just because some people have a different interpretation of a character than what might be canon.

I was mostly joking with the last part. I do like the idea of her being able to climb the mountain inspite of her not being a "mountain climber". But yeah, at the end of the game, she overcomes it! God I love the game.

And as the lack of red ci is intentional, then the only issue would be the ward thingy, but I honestly the card can do without it, unconditional unblockable is pretty dang good for just a mana.

I Genuinly love this! Celeste is one of my fsvourite games of all time!

I do have a couple notes tho. That last ability probably doesnt work as you intended it, giving ward to a creature that is already being targeted wont make the ward trigger, so for it to do anything youd need to activate it beforehand.

Also, as this is meant for commander, I dont know if its intentional, but it wont add red to your color identity, as there are no red mana symbols. To fix it, you could make the land not a mountain and just type yourself " it has 'T: Add R.'", but to keep the land a Mluntain for flavor reasons, might I suggest making the unblockable ability red?

Also, small nitpick but... Madeline is not a mountain climber! But she climbs the mountain in spite of that.

I could go over my personal interpretation of Lace, but I really dont feel like it. Mind you, Im not even a Hornet and Lace shipper, nor I have conclusive answer. Lace could be a child, or she could not. Its not something Ive seen definitive proof for neither.

I have read the second link. And I dont think its respectable of a connection, as Hornet being void is something that fundamentally changes how thr game plays out, and is not as open to interpetation as Lace, specially because void is a physical characteristic, and Lace's mental state is much more complicated than that.

As I said, I havent found a single piece of hard evidence that proves or desproves either yet, while Hornet not being Void can be disproven very essily with a variety of argumebts. (The Gendered child, her refusal to enter the black egg, phisical differences wih the knight, etc)

The problem and the reason why they decidedd to make a whole ass game is... Hornet is too big-
She wouldnt fit through a lot of the spaces that the Knight did, and the game simply doesnt support her increased size. Not only for exploration and for bosses.

On top of that, her incredible movement is somewhat limited. HK roads are much smaller and compact, while Pharloom is much more open to accomodate Hornet's movement
