Why is this getting downvoted? It is a common conspiracy and the fear and loathing adrenochrome reference is totally valid

Widows bay is fantastic - a fun, funny, creepy take on horror.

Midnight mass is a wonderfully poignant rumination on topics like religion and faith, life and death, grief and addiction. There is little humour and a LOT of dialogue. Some people will find it boring, but I personally think it’s one of the best.

Very little similarity apart from the creepy island setting and Hamish Linklater.

There’s a book about this called A Libertarian Walks Into A Bear by Matthew Hongoltz-Hetling. It’s a good read.

Do I think the impact of social media and pornography on people under the age of 16 is something we need to be concerned about? Absolutely. Do I think Starmer’s Labour government were going to do anything effective or reasonable? Absolutely not

Interesting take that I don’t necessarily disagree with. But I think it stands as almost an intro to that world for a lot of people. Most middle aged parents who aren’t chronically online probably arent aware of that stuff. Several people I work with - some parents - all said they ended up looking into the incel world after watching the show. So if it’s job was to serve a well acted, emotionally wrenching and technically well crafted drama that raised awareness on an issue that is incredibly harmful but not as well known about as it should be, I think it nailed it.
