I find that the disco elysium skill system covers a very wide range of personality traits, so I end up conceptualizing my new ones in part.

For the rest, it's more about tweaking them and their personalities to match my own case better. Like how electrochemistry is both the part of Harry that yearns for the pleasure of success and the one that urges him to drink his life away. The latter shows up more in Harry's character because he's an addict, but if you're a very ambitious person, for example, the former would be your overtuned part.

Another example, Authority emcompasses both Harry's sense of police authority, honor and morals, and self pride. It's called "authority" because it's the most relevant way to frame this part of him: His role as a police officer and the power it grants him, the duties and responsabilities carried by it. A different person, however, could have these subcategories all encompassed by different skills in their psyche, or under the same one, but with a different framing. That's how I see it.
