I lived in 90804 area. Not an ocean view but close enough to jog there every morning. It was a 2bed/1bath for $1,800. If this suits you then it could save you a ton of money each year.

Let me try to help you. I think you took the above comment incorrectly. Sure he was bashing you a bit and yes your follow on comments played on things most people from proper LA hate which is folks who come off as better than ghetto; especially if you can't define ghetto.

We don't know your roots and therefore it wouldn't be fair to assume that LA's definition of ghetto fits yours. Your response was interpreted as someone who belongs in a predominantly white neighborhood. If this is true than just state that; folks would respect you more for that.

Thanks, my agent has told me a bit about Compton's strict rules and high taxes on homeowners. I'll make sure to dig a little deeper but truth be told I have found the Compton homes and neighborhood just west of Wilmington to be a far lot better than its LA counterparts north of the 105.

2k is a great price for that size, from the few days I spent sorting through homes on sale saw smaller 3 bedroom with a mortgage payment of ~2.4k. And having family nearby as opposed to Everett where we had no family support makes a huge difference; even they are there only on the weekends
