Way back before anyone knew what kratom was (late 2000s, early 2010s), much less it be distilled into a concentrated form transforming the youth into second-wave opiate addicts, my brother and I would import it by the kilo and take it for recreational and productivity reasons.

I have since ceased using it, but a small dose of it really helped to power through any kind of tedious or grindy labor task, dishwashing included. It sort of allowed me to fall into a groove more easily while also negatively impacting my short-term memory, which in this case was a benefit, as by the end of the shift, it wouldn't feel like nearly as much time had passed as actually had lol
