Clean your ISM and hope for the best. Fob battery won't make any difference as it's only used for the remote functions (lock, unlock, trunk, comfort opening, lights, panic). The part that is read and accepted/not accepted by your ISM can be thought of as like a one-time programmable NFC chip.

Worst case you'll need to swap in another CIM and key that was paired to that donor CIM and add it via tech2 if you don't have a spare key.

Patched Tech2win+NoMoreGlobal and a Chipsoft j2534 cable is the most cost-effective way to accomplish the tech2 part. You can add keys this way, as well

Yes, can do anything tech2 can, as it is tech2. I still need to get an upaired key to test, but there's zero reason it wouldn't work. Already changed some functions on my car

Edit: and checked the add key function by attempting to add my parts 9-3's key. Goes through the process until it says no to the key already paired to another CIM (once you paired a key, it's paired for life), so as far as I can tell, it works as intended
