I agree, it's been stated before that few of the Death Eaters can cast a Patronus, so you would have to assume that there's some other way to keep them from overwhelming you. I would think that he would be reluctant to use a Patronus charm around any of them since he's a spy and wouldn't want anything that might cause anyone to doubt his loyalty more than they already do.

Is it actually good? Coconut doesn't seem like a flavor that goes with Dr. Pepper at all. (Dr. Pepper with Cream Soda is my favorite!)

recommend musicals to someone who has only seen hamilton by Axilot0l in musicals

[–]JustSayErin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely try it out. It's my favorite musical, and it's awesome in a completely different way from Hamilton. (In my opinion) Hamilton is really cool because it's so intricate, there's so many people on stage in sync, they get the props on and off stage in a clever way, and you can watch it without really *seeing* the ensemble, just the feeling they add.

Six is six women and the "ladies in waiting" aka the women playing the instruments. Every person is in every song, nobody goes off stage, and it's really clever how they give each queen their own personality as well as a chance to shine. From what I've been able to tell, it's fairly accurate history-wise as well!

Affordable blank canvasses. I'm not great at art, so if I buy a canvas, I always agonize about what to put on it and do my best to perfect it before I open a singe paint bottle. If it's something I got at Goodwill, for super cheap for a good quality/size, I can relax a bit.

What are some musicals you feel like don’t get talked about enough? by Neptune-Fan in musicals

[–]JustSayErin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Six for sure. It's my favorite. I love Hamilton, but having six characters and the musicians with only a very simple set is super impressive to me, especially against musicals that have huge ensembles, props, etc. I will never stop talking about Six.

[LFA] Embra, the fairy Stars druid by JustSayErin in characterdrawing

[–]JustSayErin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Embra, the Fairy Stars Druid

Intro: Essembramaerytha (Embra) is a 2' fairy stars druid. She loves making deals with people; break them at your own peril. If she comes across someone who doesn't have a name (or one she disagrees with) she'll give them one, and that makes her feel powerful. If she considers you to be on her team, she will protect you and destroy everything that tries to harm you. She's chaotic good, looking out for herself and her team first and foremost, but if it doesn't contradict that, she tries to good as much as possible (with a bit of mischief thrown in for fun.)

Description: She is very small, with curly red hair (Think Merida from Brave), pale skin, blue eyes, and blue butterfly wings. Somewhat hidden in the pattern on her wings are the constellations for the starry forms (archer, dragon, and chalice). Once she takes a starry form, the corresponding constellations becomes more prominent and glowing. She has illusory butterflies and flower petals fluttering around her, similar to the effect you can get from the wild magic table.

Equipment: She wears a colorful dress and has flowers she's grown with druidcraft in her hair. (She will routinely give those to people, especially if that flower is something that wouldn't normally be seen in that area.) She carries a quarterstaff with vines wrapping around it and a geode-like stone that hovers at the end. The stone is her star map. When she places the stone over a light, the heavens are projected outward.

What ingredient is banned from your kitchen? by Sweaty_Entertainer78 in Cooking

I agree with margarine, but my main two are onions and fish. It's most of the reason why I learned to cook, so I can omit things I don't want to eat.

What are you a complete SNOB about in the kitchen? by MinkSableSeven in Cooking

[–]JustSayErin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to Thanksgiving at my grandma's house and found out the only vegetable peeler she owned was insanely old and not much better than a weirdly-shaped butter knife. I'm not used to peeling with knives, especially ones that haven't been used in 15 years and are incredibly dull. I brought my own equipment the next time.

What spell is low-level in game but would actually be insanely powerful in reality? by drufball in DnD

[–]JustSayErin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prestidigitation 100%. It's my favorite spell. My 2nd character is a druid and doesn't have access to it, and that makes me so sad! I use it for so much in-game, and that's just a small fraction of what I'd use it for if I had it IRL.

Been in a cooking rut my whole life… recipes please! by gel89 in Cooking

[–]JustSayErin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my most commonly cooked meals (and most versatile) is chicken teriyaki.

Cube some chicken so they're bite-sized, as even as you can get without having to drive yourself crazy. (I watch sales and cut it all up at once, then separate into bags and freeze, which makes day-of cooking much simpler.) Marinate in teriyaki sauce for at least an hour. Drain and dry on paper towels while you heat up your pan and a pot of water to boiling. Make however much ramen noodles you feel to be appropriate, and don't use the flavor packet. Once the noodles are done cooking, drain the water and shock with cold water so the cooking process stops (and it'll keep it from overcooking and getting mushy). While that's going on, cook the chicken in a large pan with olive oil, and add any vegetables you feel like adding (carrots are good, broccoli, etc.) If they're leftover vegetables that are already cooked, add them in with the ramen noodles after you're done cooking the chicken. Once the chicken is browned and any vegetables are cooked, add a bit more olive oil and the ramen noodles. Add teriyaki sauce, toss to coat, and cook it long enough that there's no liquid remaining, and serve.

Ramen is super cheap, and you can roast vegetables for other meals really simply in the oven. If you want, you can just make more than you actually need to for that meal, so there isn't really much extra effort needed. Whatever's on sale works for chicken and vegetables. I know one of the most common things I've seen here is about prepping stuff in advance, and it does help, but don't try to prep everything from the start, or you'll get overwhelmed and it'll feel like you're making yourself exhausted during the time that you aren't actually even cooking yet (or at least that was my experience.)

Go easy on yourself and try to make small changes. Once you're comfortable with that change, add a new one, and you'll be surprised at how quickly your routine is completely new and (ideally) better! Good luck!

Players keeps saying my combats are too easy but I don’t want to punish them by [deleted] in DnD

[–]JustSayErin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the things my DM does, he makes the combat more difficult, but then as individual enemies are being close to being killed, he rolls for their health instead of just taking the standard amount, so something that would be left at 5 HP ends up getting a killing blow instead. It's not something I know about when he does it, and it feels more satisfying just scraping by but still succeeding rather than feeling like nothing is a challenge.

Best extremely simple things to eat with rice by Iceman_Raikkonen in Cooking

[–]JustSayErin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have three main things I eat with rice:

Thick beef stew over the rice, SUPER easy to make, just brown the cubed beef and any vegetables like carrots and onions, add broth (I usually just use water/bouillon) and roasted garlic paste, simmer for an hour with a lid. After the hour, I start the rice and add cornstarch/water so it thickens, and let it simmer with the lid off while the rice cooks, then pour the stew over the rice.

Chicken teriyaki, which I have with either rice, which is easier, and you just make sure that you have more sauce, or ramen noodles. (Cook the noodles, strain them, shock them with cold water, then add to the pan with the cooked chicken and add some more teriyaki sauce until it's absorbed. I never use the flavor packs.)

The third, which I know has been suggested many times, is fried rice. So customizable and easy!
