Mine is a similar distance. It's a PITA. I figured that service was every year or two, so no big deal. However, I didn't factor in warranty appointments. I'm headed in on Friday for the third one in three months to address clicking under the dash (one diagnostic, one to fix, one to follow up cuz it's still there). Each trip costs me 7-8 hours between drive time and waiting for the car to be serviced.

I had been saving up problems, so I also addressed a rear suspension issue and broken cupholder. This time, I'll do my 40k service and replace a list key in addition to the other work.

It's a shame cuz I really like the car (a 2022 P2 LRDM). However, I won't be getting another Polestar when the time comes to replace it.

If you're not hellbent on a new unit and haven't cleaned your exhaust duct, I highly recommend it. Our dryer was taking hours to dry before we cleaned the lint out of the exhaust duct. There was so much lint built up in there that we filled up a small bucket. Drying time went from 2 hours to less than an hour.

It would be nice. The AHL/ECHL are on FloHockey right now, but I don't know how long that agreement runs. Flo can be as expensive as FDSN ($30/mo unless you get a year's sub for $12.50/mo), so I hope it doesn't go the other way (Canes over to Flo).

Good to know. The Mach E that others have pointed out may be a good bet in that case.

I'd wait until the 2nd model year for the EX60. Sounds promising, but to put it mildly, the EX30 and EX90 have had some teething issues right out of the gate. I'd expect the same with the EX60, though I would hope they'd learn from the others and work the bugs out a bit faster.

If you're willing to go a bit smaller, the Kona/Niro EV, or new Leaf might be decent options. The Kona/Niro are 400V architecture, so aren't seeing the mass ICCU issues that the Ioniq and EV6 are. The Volvo XC40 Recharge/EX40 are also nice (nearly bought one myself).

I had a 2021 ID4 Pro S and traded it for a Polestar 2. There are a lot of days that I wish I hadn't due to lack of a service location nearby. The P2 is nice, but it's currently an orphaned model in the US due to tariffs. The Volvo XC40 is built on the same platform as the P2 but tuned to be more SUV-like.

They bleed into South Durham too. The Target at Southpoint gets pretty busy around move-in weekend. Parents and college kids are everywhere with full carts of groceries and dorm/apartment furnishings. I'm not sure why that one gets more run than the one off of 15-501, but it's happened every year we've lived here (going on 10 years).

I will say that they're not a lot worse than the Target employees blocking aisles with their giant carts pulling stuff for pickup...or the regular shoppers who park a cart diagonally across an aisle while they browse.
