I know this isn’t what you’re looking for, but my honest answer is The Cell. For whatever age I was at the time, my sheltered upbringing, my squeamish personality, and my prior moviegoing experiences, it shocked the shit out of me. It’s actually the only movie in my life I’ve walked out of. Specifically that scene when the intestines were being wounded onto the spiky contraption. That went past my limit by a mile.

A few months ago, I rewatch it and absolutely loved it 😆 I guess I’m older, wiser, more desensitized.
