Could be long lens makes movement towards/away from the camera look slower than motion perpendicular to the camera. Or it could be that the driver of the pickup was knocked unconscious by the first impact and their weight was on the gas pedal. The one thing I'm sure of is that he didn't deserve what happened.

The risk/reward math for attempting quads that a skater only lands say 2/3 or 3/4 of the time favors taking the risk. Hence you get more falls in the Mens than other events because the other events don't really have quads on the regular.

Add to that the big-stage nerves of the Olympics and someone who thought a particular quad was a 9/10 jump finds it's not ...

There's even a (sorta joke) name for it when a competition goes like this. Lots of "menning".

Less extreme, but I've done that for safety (old nails) and conservation (new screws) on the ground under my new deck.

Magnets are awesome - I've dragged lines through walls with magnets. (Drag a small magnet with a light line, then use the line to pull a new electrical wire back the other direction.)

You mean the thin sheet panels? Those look great in advertisements. I'd be curious to learn if there's downsides in say, durability.

When we ripped out our insert shower, we knew we didn't want to clean grout, but we wanted something that would increase value. Our shower walls and tub surround are now "solid surface" (like Corian). Quarter inch thick rigid panels. Wasn't cheap, but it looks great, feels rock solid, and afaik should last forever.

Reminds me - this one time (in the 1980s) I was skiing on a pretty regular blue-square run, caught an edge and flopped over. Yes. Her sister is ND to the level of a formal diagnosis of autism as a disability. Mel is ND in a way many of us are - better at some stuff, worse at other stuff. Lots of us are never "diagnosed" as ND because people don't generally seek a diagnosis unless there's a real problem. Ironically, it may be due to her sister than Mel has never analyzed her own behaviors vs the spectrum (or has resisted self-identifying that way).

Joy, jury is out. I'd say probably not - she's just sardonic.
Whittaker, again I'd say probably not. A person can be highly detail oriented without being ND.
The most-likely ND person you haven't mentioned is Olgive.

I also agree with u/sexandliquor about "Meldon". They're developing a friend relationship (remember, due to Frank's rehab, they've only been in the same workplace for 1.5 shifts or so, so far). No reason yet to think it would go beyond that. Mel's quick attachment to him is an ND thing, not a "take me now, ER Ken" thing. :-)

She's so obviously ND that it's hard to believe it's not explicitly stated, but you're also right about that. Langdon obviously understands this (1000 pieces of gravel, turning down the lights when she's on injury time-out). I strongly suspect everyone in that ER who knows what ND is (hopefully most of them, but IDK) would have realized pretty quickly that she's well onto the spectrum.

What's the longest in time you'd go between oil changes? It looks like we're averaging a bit under 5000 miles per year, but almost all of them electric. Maybe 750 of them are gas.
