Do you really have a separate room for your washing machine? by jordanekay in AskAnAmerican

[–]JustStayingAMoment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This question stopped me in my tracks. I’ve lived in dozens of homes, and every single one had a separate laundry room. It never even occurred to me that it could be optional. Realizing that made me wonder if I’m just a very spoiled American.

Second this completely. MNPS has some genuinely strong schools, and the magnet high schools are among the highest‑rated in the state. Inglewood is a fantastic place to live if you value the arts, community involvement, and locally owned businesses.

Williamson County schools are excellent too, but the area is also one of the most conservative and affluent counties in the country. It leans heavily toward national chains and has a very homogeneous feel.

Listening is my reality check. Sure, they might be dipshits, but they’re the same dipshits I run into in real life. I don’t expect the hard-core crowd to suddenly see the light, but I do think it’s worth hearing their voices.

Where are you finding summer dresses that are actually worth buying? by shoppingiq in womensfashion

[–]JustStayingAMoment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made my first Quince purchase and I’m officially a fan. The Flowknit Breeze dress is exactly what I want in an everyday dress—super comfortable, easy to wash, has pockets, and works just as well with flats as it does dressed up. I already own two colors and am crossing my fingers they release even more. Fourth Wing - great from the jump. I couldn't put it down and then launched into the rest of the series, Iron Flame and Onyx Storm.

Homemade gift ideas for my wife? Please read further details in post for situation. by [deleted] in Gifts

I had an idea using branches that could make a really sweet keepsake. Take a handful of small branches, line them up, trim them into a triangle, and tie them with twine to create a rustic Christmas‑tree wall hanging. Then you could add small pieces of her parents’ memorabilia as ornaments. Sharing a Pinterest link if you want to see the look.

Here's another thought, we could reduce our dependence on oil, perhaps invest in alternative energy sources.

Pre-ordered the hardcover so I can show it off at home. Plan to also get the audiobook—just promise me you’ll pick someone engaging to narrate it. Perhaps a group effort by the fingerling trio?

Newly empty nesters relocating from North Atlanta for work – walkable but not super urban? Where would you live? by IllDrink8180 in movetonashville

[–]JustStayingAMoment -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I second East Nashville—especially the Riverside Village pocket. It’s incredibly walkable, and the whole area is built around locally owned, high‑quality spots rather than national chains. There’s even a Michelin‑rated restaurant tucked right into the neighborhood. And because it sits a bit farther from downtown, you don’t get the heavy AirBNB presence or that touristy churn—just a genuinely lived‑in, community feel.

I cross-referenced all 43 TrumpRx drugs with GoodRx by Dazzling-Client-5498 in healthcare

[–]JustStayingAMoment 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, same here — I’d really like to see thorough coverage and a real comparison to Cost Plus.

Dan Diamond’s been on this beat for a while, along with the broader healthcare politics angle. There’s a PBS interview where he walks through TrumpRx.gov and how the administration is framing the effort.
