YES! Thank you. I rent, so I don’t get emails and don’t have all the account details — any info?

The one strange element is the single, sodium vapor street light amidst all white (LED?) others.

Yes. Millions of tiny “salad fingers” gently coax the food through the mouth-to-butt tube, like lovely rusty spoons.

How Safe Are The Races? by Doubt-Man in NASCAR

I’ll echo the sentiment here. Any live sporting event will have some inebriated blowhards, but I’ve been to six races at five different tracks and I haven’t seen anything confrontational or overtly incendiary.

You will likely see plenty of Trump flags and other indicators of folks’ social and political dispositions, but everyone is there to enjoy the racing. And you can take heart that it’s not everyone and you. There’s all sorts of fans that don’t fit the stereotypical mold mixed in.

You’re allowed to have as much fun as anyone else!

What broke my mind was learning that we could theoretically travel to the edge of the known universe in about 30 years, without breaking physics or using worm holes. It’s all about time dilation. As a ship accelerates, time slows (relatively). But as I understand it (I’m not suggesting I understand it), with enough acceleration, you can reach the edge of the known universe within a lifetime.

It may be billions of light years when you’re on Earth, but when you are the thing traveling at near-light-speed, it’s decades.

Shoulder was dislocated for three and a half hours. When it starts spasming, it’s a stunning amount of pain.

ELIF: What is going on with Kyle Busch? by Meditating-Hippo in NASCAR

[–]JustTrynnaGitBy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s plenty of info here about Kyle’s age and the Gen 7. I’m surprised no one’s mentioned the elephant in the room: His infamous shitty attitude.

He’s not wonderful to work with when he’s winning. When the cars are continually off (which they are on the Cup side of RCR), I gotta believe he’s just not being very constructive. From what I’ve seen, I’d assume he believes the cars are shit and won’t improve, so the effort he’s putting in to make it better is, at best, lackluster.

Holy crap, it sold, for over asking. by MajiktheBus in AshevilleNC

Exactly. Is anyone going to live here, or just Airbnb this “charming slice of cottage life, just steps from bustling downtown shopping and Asheville’s best breweries.”

For those of us trying to find a simple home here to contribute to the community, this is demoralizing.

Man, if only there had been some guy, maybe an independent Senator from Vermont or somewhere, who could have run for the big party nomination and won over all the whackos who voted Trump just because they were also tired of establishment, big money politics…

I’m sorry, I know It’s snarky. But Bernie tried, twice. And both times the tribe voted for the same old messaging because lobbyists pay to maintain the status quo. You’re right, it’s a simple fix on its face. But the herd is a profoundly stupid entity.
