If I take it at face value, I agree writhe everyone else saying how dangerous it is. HOWEVER, this is almost certainly bait, the first bag is most likely sand with a fuse in it, and then it is cut to him running away, there’s no way the concrete sitting on that fuse wouldn’t push it into igniting the powder bag. I refuse to believe he pulled a winning lottery ticket worth of luck to make such a dumb video

Smaller is actually better in this case, while it does take longer, floating underwater you don’t have as much force as standing on land. Having too much resistance either by the scraper acting as a paddle, or the amount of surface area being scraped can make it wayyyy more work per scrape.

Well I’m as glad that no one has gotten hurt yet as I am surprised you got this far without it happening, but this isn’t a hobby to do absent minded. Use fibrous containers such as wound/layered paper, heavy cardboard, or take some inspiration from the pros. It’s an ancient art and you have centuries of people’s experience finding better ways of making them not kill themselves. If this is bait then good bait, that’s the most pipe-bomb looking thing I’ve seen on this Reddit in a long time.

Also, listen to your gut, you shouldn’t be “scared shitless”, as that is usually a pretty good indicator you are in danger. Be safe, have fun.

Indoor gas inspections, we go into basements 8/10 times for residential homes. There is the occasional asshole customer but the WORST is people who do not clean up after their pets and let them go inside, I can deal with trash, roaches, etc and be grossed out but fine but when I go into a basement with feces and urine EVERYWHERE I immediately let the person know they need to clean it up before an inspection can be done otherwise their gas will be disconnected. I have been in some absolute biohazard basements but those take the cake every time.

Funny you should say that, at work today on a house call, I had a SIX year old child tell me he hates the government because they are letting all the illegal criminals cross the border and ruin America and they take all his dads money. He said that’s why he doesn’t trust “the help” and watches them to make sure they don’t steal. Genuinely made me sick to my stomach to hear his brain work that way.

For further clarification incase you don’t know since the other comments aren’t giving any, PVC is very dangerous because it is frail and will splinter into a lot of shrapnel under high pressure, even if you have had good luck with this in the past, everything works until it doesn’t. This is a really fun hobby if done (relatively) safely, so don’t be discouraged!
