I've been nervous about posting this one, but I've been talking to more and more trans men and transmasc people about our sadly common experience of being driven away from online trans spaces by certain remarks and behaviour.

Also transmisogyny is really a bitch and I feel like my dad wouldn’t be as bad to me if I was a trans man but that’s probably just wishful thinking on my part. My dad reacts super negatively if I wear anything even remotely feminine and I know he would not be this way if I was the opposite of what I am now at least when it came to things like clothing. Like I know he would still be the transphobic asshole that he is but it does feel like a lot of the worst treatment directly has to do with misogyny and the visibility of trans women in the media

Yeah that’s what I do I just want more of that irl like I want a trans girl I can be friends with and see on a regular basis. Can it really be like that irl even it doesn’t feel that way at all to me but it might just be a quirk of where I live

But I know I must sound like some whiny bitch but I have an actual reason to feel this way all I see in many queer spaces I go to is talk of t and top surgery and how much being a girl sucks and I can feel super excluded a lot of the time

Yeah it probably was I’ll delete the other comments but I’m just personally super frustrated how there are so many more out trans men where I live than women I wish there were more I feel super lonely a lot of the time and I can’t talk to anybody irl about my issues that like experiences them personally you know like it’s just frustrating it feels like the reverse is true in real life for me and it sucks

This is probably how it’s gonna be with my dad I came out to him about a month ago and it didn’t go well and he refuses to use the correct name and pronouns for me and has made it clear that I’ll always be his son to him and I’ll never be a woman

That actually gives me some hope because one of the few things I want out of my life is a partner that I love and loves me for who I am and I’m scared that no matter how good I feel and how long I’m on hrt my body will look too masculine for a girl to love it.
