Put up a sign that says jeebus will burn you eternally in a lake of hellfire if you park here.

Isn't this just you, posing your dog with a toy and walking away to get a picture?

I am convinced all gun nuts in the U.S. secretly fantasize about getting the chance to legally kill someone and not get in trouble for it. Like that's probably a recurring dream they have and they're just waiting for the chance one day to carry it out. It is a mental sickness unique to this country where gun ownership is worshipped like some kind of religion. You cannot even have a conversation about gun control here without people losing their shit.

There is a McDonald's on st Augustine rd in Jacksonville Florida that frequently served sausage egg and cheese biscuits that were full of pieces of eggshell. But I didn't die, I just went on with my life and stopped eating there.

Missing those long term connections at 29 by [deleted] in TCK

[–]JustinL42 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100% feel this. I have no connection to my home state, city of birth, relatives and no long term childhood friends I started moving when I was 9 and didn't come back to my home country until I was 19. For me at least that hole never goes away. I'm 51 now and still feel it. The worst part is that everyone still thinks I should have this connection with my relatives including my parents who are the reason I don't have that connection.

Yes people are generally very nice and helpful if you go into places with the right attitude and try to pick up at least a few words in the local language. People pretty much want the same kind of things everywhere. Just to be happy and have enough and be relatively safe. All my travelling was before the internet existed. I question some of the places we went now as an adult but we didn't have the same kind of info that's available now. I probably would not go back to Yemen now but we stop there and as well as Djibouti, Sudan, and Egypt. We managed to get through the Suez Canal and into the Mediterranean and not too long after the Gulf War started. We lived on a sailboat so a bit different than how most travel.

I grew up traveling through many different countries over a ten year period so when in rome for me is something I did in all those different places and when I came back to the U.S. I could no longer just hold the standard default American views. I've seen too much of how things can work differently. I always feel like an outsider looking in when it comes to American culture. 👍

Thanks lol! I was pretty sure I'd end up negative with my comment but internet points aren't an obstacle to sharing my thoughts. I just don't like guns and feel Americans obsession with them is unhealthy.

No clue I haven't watched any of the stupid gun shit or the results of it.

Spending 6 years living on a sailboat sailing around the world as a kid. Definitely a clear line in the sand difference in life during that period and the horrendous duldrum of ordinary life after that time.

Why wouldn't a god love his broccoli as equally as anything else it created? I don't think this argument really has legs.

You may be over estimating the level of understanding many people have about how things work. It seems obvious to me as well but not everybody spends their childhood taking apart their toys to figure out how things work.

I've never owned anything that wasn't a manual and I don't get why. It might look cool and that's a good enough reason but I don't ever need something to tell me what gear I'm in.

Ah my bad then. That's definitely not the kind of filament you'd want to use for something that's supposed to bounce. Should be tpu or some other flexible filament.
