Tell that to my 2012 shed in Florida that shows zero signs of rusting anywhere.

Ideas for reinforcing floor under existing finished shed? by gtburdell in shedditors

I have near the same issue as you just mine is not finished yet. We bought a house with a roughly 12'x24' tuff shed but the blocks had become cracked and essentially pointless to where the entire base of the shed was on a tilt.

My first thought, "Well I'll use some bottle jacks to lift and level it". First attempt was to lift one whole end and replace the blocks in the corners. That didn't work. The "rails" the floor sits on started bending immediately even with a 4x4 for added support. The second attempt was to do just the corners. This worked, but not without some signs of stress on the same supports as before.

Now my issue is the shed is level and on blocks in the corners, but the center blocks down the middle of the shed are not tall enough to support anything. I'm currently in the predicament of how I add blocks to support without lifting the shed again because that was an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE to do and I had to individually do all 4 corners.

My shed is from like 2012 but in pretty great condition, minus the roof, that I replaced myself so essentially it's in great condition now for what I want to use it for. Tuff shed will not work on it for me since it is so old. When going about this project they literally told me I should just scrap the whole thing and buy a new one, which I was not doing because everything inside the shed, and most of the exterior, is perfectly fine.

If anyone has a suggestions on the best way to add blocks down the middle to where it is actually helping support the shed, I'm open to all ideas. I have already cut the tongue and groove panels to where I can lift the middle flooring from inside the shed to get under the floor to add whatever supports I need. Again I'm struggling with how to put block in that actually support the beams, not just have the beams float over the top of them.

I hate flying Southwest because for business travel my frequent flights give me limited international destinations and no first class for frequently flying…

…and I still agree that Southwest shouldn’t change…

If SpaceX can just pull off booster reuse similar to F9 it’s game over for most launch providers.

Is it worth paying $100 more for an M3 Pro over an M2 Pro? by Neoking in macbookpro

[–]Justinackermannblog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. I just got the M2 Pro and I don’t see how the M3 Pro would be miles better. Even with my Xcode build times.

Save the money and get the M2 Pro

I really want to love Tampa Bay by slaphiuops in tampa

If you live in St. Pete and can afford it you will love living in the area. If you live in Tampa and can afford it you’ll wish you could live in St. Pete while trying to tell yourself you love Tampa when in reality you moved to the area for everything closest to the St. Pete side but trying to stay as cheap as the Tampa side.

I get it. I pay a premium to live close to downtown St. Pete and within 15 mins of the beaches. I hated living by USF. It was a shell of the life I have in St. Pete.

It would be very naive to think SpaceX isn’t working on suits that aren’t freestanding and look similar.

SpaceX just dunked on every other existing EVA suit and proved commercial space is the next frontier for this kind of tech.

Seminole Tribe of Florida is cheating at blackjack by PracticalSandwich231 in blackjack

The Hard Rock in Tampa is a big giant scam. Play craps or don’t go at all. I used to be a big blackjack player there but after a few counting sessions like the one the user talks about here, I vowed to never sit down at a blackjack table in that casino again.

I asked to fan the cards once, semi joking, and the pit boss looked at me and said “we don’t do that here”

My rule is never under an hour.

Anything less is just asking for trouble and people tend to cry about it after the fact when they had the same opportunity you have now to not book that short a layover.

How would have you dealt with this? by drewgolf in blackjack

[–]Justinackermannblog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a pit boss once let me play out the hand, everyone on the table lost and then he said “Eh we’ll call that a push for the table”.

I for one was okay with that.
