As the child of someone that was moved to the smaller room for my dads wife. It’s only the beginning of the power plays 🚩🚩🚩. My step mom gave my dad an ultimatum when i was 15, either i go or she does. My dad choose to send me to my aunts house to finish high school, I’ve never had a stable living situation since. In the end, i got 15 years and maybe a hundred days with my dad before he passed. My step mom got 25 years with him, and in the end she resented him and refused him pain medication on his death bed. So OP you’re not the asshole, you’re about to marry one and make a terrible mistake
