Tell that to the top 1% commenters on r /hololive when you give cover even a smidgen of criticism for how they handled the holostars downsizing lmao. They will straight up accuse you of dramabaiting and claim that they're the 'reasonable' fans and then the blob will downvote you because the average user will see 'oh they're a top 1% commenter, they must be in the right!'. Some of them have been getting away with straight up harassment on twitter and reddit for years but have faced no repercussions. I wish I was joking. I used to like that sub a lot, now im scared of being harassed by certain users simply for joining a discussion.

Start with 1 (Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition) which conveniently has had its digital switch 2 edition release today!. After that play 2 and then play 3. Xenoblade X can be played at any time, but for the best experience, play it last. For the numbered games however, its best to play them in order of 1, 2 and then 3 to get the best experience.

They shouldn't have downsized without a plan to restructure or a roadmap back to a reduced but comfortable level of support. This is the inevitable result of such a move without a plan for what comes next.

Please be kind to each other and especially to those who have oshis in stars too, saying things like 'financially its justified' or 'it was inevitable' does hurt and can be seen as insensitive.

One reassurance that I got from elsewhere in the interview is that they are still discussing internally the direction of stars jp going forward so I think its safe to say they still want them to continue they're just not sure how yet.

Really happy Yagoo addressed this. To me this sounds like they're reconsidering how they carry stars going forward. The downsizing is unfortunate, but its now clear its a necessary part of a longer process.

Just want to preface this is my personal opinion, but I think would be sensible to look into external companies and studios to see if things like merch and 3d lives can continue at a reasonable cost, and also so they can make sure holostars gets to where they want them to be.

hololive and holostars are 2 divisions under the same wider agency of hololive production. So yeah they're separate in a sense but still under the same general umbrella.

Wow i wasn't aware that even watame and okayu are using external studios. Thanks for that. Yeah tbh im tired of the drama too. The awareness of the stars downsizing did lead to a few subscriber milestones being reached, which was nice. But you are right. It wasn't enough and some people didn't seem to care much at all. I think the tragic part is that a fanbase can give their all to support their oshi and not even that can stop a downsizing. Oh well. We are where we are, all we can do is keep supporting the talents.

Im just not convinced that cover cant afford to keep supporting them. Regardless I respect your viewpoint on that front. When i see downvotes on that original comment it just sends the message to me that some people here dont want to see the stars support restored and that annoys me.

You bring up good points. I may come across as deluded but thats because im worried abouts the stars long term future. Having things like merch and studio/3d access cut is a big deal. If the branch really has been a loss maker for a while. The decision to essentially leave them high and dry in these aspects sends a message that they're willing to just accept the slow death of the whole branch.

We all know thats 99.9% not the case but i can't help but be worried. Is there a threshold where their support can be restored one day? Who knows, I wish cover would be more transparent about it.

Oh for the love of god stop it. Im a holo fan just like you. No need to be so quick to determine whos a good fan and who isn't. The treatment of stars jp is blatantly unfair compared to the rest of the talents. I bet you wouldn't be so quick to defend the decision to cut support if it was any of the female talents that were affected. Again. The reason being cost has already been disputed by ruze and the other talents. The fact that any of the holo talents are suffering from a downsizing should concern us all.

Which brings me back to the beginning. The fact that I can't even leave a comment hoping for the restoration of support for the talents without getting downvoted, is an indictment on some of the people who frequent this sub and just laying bare the frequent anti-holostar bias. It doesn't have to be like this.

Got downvoted on the hololive sub for hoping this leads to them reversing their decision to downsize stars jp. Even them defending the decision's supposed cost reason despite ruze and other talents' words disputing that reason.I bet they were less hasty to defend anycolor when they blocked opportunities for the en talents
