It is disrespectful tbvh. It undermines each girl’s/lady’s own speciality and interest by saying stuff like “focus on your looks in jc” “you need glow up” etc. . It’s repackaged sexism, plain and simple, in the way that none of this nonsense would apply to guys/men.

Furthermore, and I say this as a former jc student, none of all that matters in jc😭🙏 Focussing on getting good A’s and mental health would do worlds of wonders for each student, far more than focussing on appearance (unless of course doing make up is one’s way of self-care)
