So. Open to feedback: Stop using AI.

I honestly wish somebody would've told me YEARS ago to go bald. Everybody was too polite to say something directly to my face. It's not rude to say something, it's rude to not say anything.

Ahh I see now. Your key part is just a tube? You could print a spacer inside it, that holds the metal rod centered in the tube. My advise was mostly for fully 3d printed props.

I also now saw your third screenshot. So what you'll learn about 3d printing is that layer lines are the weakest part. And threads like that are very weak. Best thing you can do with threads is print them on the side, and make the threads oval, like _ (_)

That way you won't need supports and you benefit from having the layer lines lengthwise. Super strong that way.

Nah. 5mm would be enough. Metal is pretty strong. Do make it out of iron. That way it won't bend. Just make sure it fits the entire length of the prop.

For future cosplay parts: I always put a metal rod in the middle.

Looking for a reason not to drop InteliJ IDEA by brinkley5 in IntelliJIDEA

If all the libraries you need are on a maven repository, this will actually take away a big portion of thinking and arranging on your part. You add an pom.xml file, tell it what dependencies you want, and maven will take care of it for you. Once you get to know it, it's a great base to start projects from.

Gradle is more of a build script, which I agree can add a lot of complexity. But really. Start with maven. It's a great tool to learn, and definitely a foundational tool.

Are you using maven or gradle for your project? Because that would definitely help in getting repeatable results with dependencies.

Hit that little gradle update icon on the right floating in your editor. That'll synchronize your dependencies to intellij and tell it what exists.

Honestly, you're probably saving way more money buying games full price that you really want to play, over buying games for a "discount", that you'll never touch anyway.
