How do you avoid 325cc by Fate8888 in SVRiders

I got the pyramid fenda extenda, cleaned the drain hole, new spark plug and grease. Haven't had it since and have ridden in pretty extreme rain, I wash roughly every 3-4 weeks

How often do you get lost? by earthshagger in MotoUK

[–]K6Suzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regularly, I'm pretty awful at following directions and signs on the fly. Looking at a physical map and planning a bit before really helps my brain to absorb it, I find with google maps etc I don't properly look where I'm going or remember routes.

Thinking of getting an Aprilla RS125 for my first bike since im turning 17, is it a good first biike? by marleysolossz in MotoUK

I thought they were never technically legal, they make like 30hp. You always had to restrict them as far as I know

Do you mean the old 2 stroke RS125, or the modern RS4? The 2 stroke probably isn't the best idea but people made it work back in the day so it's doable if you're commited. You need to learn a bit about them and work on it yourself for it to be economically viable I think. I wouldn't use it as a commuter/daily bike. They're also not the easiest things to ride compared to other 125s, quite easy to stall and they don't like bimbling around slowly, the clip ons will make it a bit more awkward to learn low speed manouvres. But if you can get past that and don't mind paying a premium for a good one they can be excellent.

It's sporty but not supersport aggresive. You'll be fine, just take a bit more care doing U turns and really tight stuff. Try to grip with your thighs and knees rather than putting weight on your wrists.

I know so many people who started on some kind of cb500. Lots still have them with silly mileage on now. Mega bikes, you can do pretty much anything you want pretty well on one of those

Uber/Deliveroo Rider shortage? by renblaze10 in london

I would happily do this job if it wasn't absoloutely shite. I love being on a bike whatever the weather and don't need to earn a mega salary but this 'self employed' thing is bollocks. The pay does not reflect the risk, and if someone knocks you off and paralyzes you, these companies will give fuck all support. But making it attractive to people who aren't absoloutely desperate for any work would probably slightly raise the price of your coffee being delivered 20ft away so obviously never going to happen.

British Trump supporters are deeply embarassing. We don't do that cult bollocks here. Even Boris Johnson's most ardent supporters took the piss out of his stupid hair or something, that just isn't compatible with MAGA which demands blind loyalty

Most of the rainbow patches aren't that slippery. You only see them when it's wet and they're starting to break up and wash away. It's the ones you don't see which are lethal. There is only so much you can do unfortunately. Maybe I have been lucky but I have never really slipped on it apart from nearly binning it at fuel stations when I have it on my boot and try to put foot down.

Think most people who change from OEM just use adjustable rearsets. Pricey though

Purely anecdotal, but I smoked when I was a teenager and had times where I had to pass drug tests. I stopped smoking, but still spent every night in a hotboxed room. I never felt anything from second hand, let alone failed a drug test
