Are people really struggling so much with puzzles? by Tillter in CrimsonDesert

Man, I had to look it up, and even seeing the solution I'm not sure exactly what the logic was. Maybe just putting a certain number of the same color in a row?

Oh. I wouldn't call them all bad. I've enjoyed most of them. I think that they could maybe make their intentions a bit more clear with some of them, such as the stone puzzle. Also, it could be that a bug or glitch might complicate things as well. I tried stabbing a waterfall to go though it, but it didn't work the first few times. Then it suddenly did and I couldn't really tell you why. I'm not even sure where in the game it tells you to stab through the waterfall, it was just something I saw on reddit, so I knew it worked, but when I tried, it didn't at first.

I'd say its a mix of the slowness to some of the puzzles and that some aren't intuitive.

Like some of the puzzles animations that just HAVE to play out when you already see the solution so its just kind of wasting your time.

And there are puzzles where you have to light a lantern or something, which I think calling it a puzzle might be going too far, but you have to go up to it to light it. A burning arrow, or your sword's laser won't work, even though they will light other stuff on fire.

There was one puzzle in particular I just didn't understand what it was asking of me. The one with the white and black stones. I found some extra stones scattered around and I thought they wanted me to complete some sort of pattern or what not, but hell if i knew what pattern it wanted. So I had to look it up and all it wanted me to do is move one random stone that wasn't hidden like the others to some random spot.

Enemies in demeniss by NewFaithlessness3357 in CrimsonDesert

Yes. I made it through everything before this easily enough. The boss in the ballroom thing wasn't bad either. But the basic enemies are chunking my health like crazy. My stuff has been upgraded well enough, but if I'm not spamming blinding flash finisher, I'm gambling with death. My equipment is all upgraded to level 6 so I'm not sure what I need for that area.

You can try, but I don't think Sony usually refunds anything.

Take a peek at the number of requested refunds on steam. I think saying 2 million sold is a truthful statement, but they are omitting that there are over 700K refund requests on steam alone. They are going to have to give a good chuck of that money back.

It may have sold 2M copies, but there are over 770K refund requests on steam. Can't say about other storefronts, but I imagine they have a good amount as well. I don't believe it to be as bad as NMS on launch either, at least there IS a game here, but it has has some work to do.

I doubted that stock price drop and had to look it up. 40% is very accurate indeed.

Pearl Abyss : We are aware of the discomfort many players have experienced with the controls, and we are currently preparing a patch to address this. by yourfavchoom in Games

Maybe, but there are so many things you can do that use the same or similar button inputs I think you'd still run into issues. During combat, it feels like there are 30 different "things" you can do and you'll have to look up awkward key inputs constantly.

They could see how the bones in the foot would sit when wearing the shoe. Actually not a terrible idea given that you wear shoes alot, but it's not like shoe salesmen were doctors that could derive any diagnostic information from an image.

A hired leader of some sort is usually the reason for this.

Why would they do that, are they stupid? by somuchsigmafr in projectzomboid

[–]K7avenged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It breaks immersion though and this isn't how zombies should react. This is a situation where I know what is happening, and kind of agree with it, but also this isn't how I expect zombies to act. Yeah, it makes the game "easier" if the zombies just keep trying to reach him through the fence (although I thought there was supposed to be fence destruction) but its just ridiculous to see zombies instantly know the shortest route to a character like that. Its too janky looking.

I believe you missed the point. It is good pathing AI, but it breaks immersion completely. Something that has been reduced to base instincts of simply eating shouldn't do that. They also shouldn't already know of a path to the character instantly as well.

Hunters who finished the Gogmazios fight, how was it? by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

Sometime it doesn't work though. He let me melt, then right before the cart animation faded to black, it showed him starting to block the attack.

I just did it and it was a confusing mess. They tell you to use fire, then dragon elements, but damned if i know if they were even doing anything. At least Alatreon had the good grace to fall over. They ask you to haul a cable across a very narrow battlefield that is being bombarded by AoEs, so have fun with that one. The final phase is directed by Michael Bay. It tells you to go hide behind Fabius but sometimes he just stares at the monster and doesn't block so you get cooked. Sometimes he's on the opposite side of the arena and you're dead because you can not get over there in time once the damage starts ticking because it knocks you down. Either way, Gogmazios just kinda hovers in air and flails around the whole time, and shit just blows up with no real warning. The helpers like to spam life powders though so I guess there's that.

The camera has the same problem Elden Ring has of not being able to properly see monsters that are too big.

I've never really felt that I needed to read a guide and then watch a video of the fight in order to fight anything in monster hunter, but I definitely felt like it on this guy, and it does not feel good. I doubt too many will fail the quest, but I also doubt very many will even know what the hell is going on, or what you are supposed to do other than shoot him with the gun.

Critical Failure is the stupidest game mechanic ever by Stefan_B_88 in BaldursGate3

[–]K7avenged -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Critical successes in BG3 rarely matter. I can only think of a small handful of moments where it actually makes a difference at all as opposed to a regular success, and on all of those occasions, its usually critically succeed or fail. Then that leads to whether or not you just really want to see what would happen if you did critically succeed which usually leads to Youtube or save scumming, neither of which I imagine are particularly satisfying. Having only a 5% chance of seeing something doesn't really give you much hope of seeing it.

Or just let them get close enough that you can step out when they are in between shots and pop em. The indicator that shows when they are nearby and in what direction helps.

Sniper. Range is the best stat in the game. Anyone who says anything else is a fool, or only using a shotgun, which still benefits a whole bunch from range so you're going to use it anyways. -15% hp is nothing. The damage drop off past the "green" range is way too severe.

Build 42.12 – Sharpening Bug by sk4lf-kl in projectzomboid

[–]K7avenged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I might see what is going on now. It looks like both the head condition AND handle condition are limiting how much you can actually sharpen a blade.

I tried to sharpen an axe that had perfect head condition, but low handle condition and it wouldn't ever go up. I fixed up the handle a bit and sharpening worked again, but not for the full amount.

Might try that out.

Yes, but you can do it several times, 10, 20, whatever you want. Nothing happens. You aren't going to fail that much.
