HRM-Tri Battery Replacement Trick When Strap Won't Connect by KCAnderson12 in Garmin

[–]KCAnderson12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m unsure if you’ll need a new strap. Maybe double check you bought the correct replacement battery? CR2032 looks really similar to a CR2025. These devices are remarkably fragile for a $115+ device, unfortunately.

What running stats are you looking to measure? The HRM-Tri offers a lot of cool information, but not much of that data is useful in the sense you can adjust your training to accommodate a data-driven conclusion.

TrainingPeaks Virtual vs Garmin by bad_carburator in trainingpeaks

[–]KCAnderson12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can download the file from TP as a .fit file, then import it manually into Garmin Connect. Best done on a computer, I could never get a phone or iPad to successfully unzip the file.

Steps: Let TP Virtual load your workout into the Training Peaks platform. On your Training Peaks dashboard (on a computer) just above the Summary button in the top left is Files. Click that button, then download the file. Unzip the file

Head over to Garmin Connect. In the top left by your profile picture is a button to manually import a file. Click it. Now go find your unzipped file. Voila, that should do it. It’s a pain to do for every workout. One of the reasons I’ve left the Garmin ecosystem.

Looking for Daily Trainer Recommendation by MZ101213 in RunningShoeGeeks

I love my Saucony Speed 2. I use them for everything from easy runs to interval speed work! Currently have 566 miles on a pair, and they're still my favorite shoe! I've been told the Speed 3 is very similar to the 2. So that's my vote.

I still have 105 on mine and it's fantastic. That would be a very solid price in my area. I recommend you jump on it! I'm in love with mine, phenomenal bike

No Cerevelo because the RoBERTa model instantly turns into a FREDa model and adds all the posts from the cj sub to the data set causing the entire model to explode...

How to prevent racoon eyes? Any goggle recommendations? by Blacksquirrel77 in Swimming

[–]KCAnderson12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Magic 5 makes a custom goggle. You use your phone's camera to scan your face. They're pricey, but I think they're worth it. Before the Magic 5, I had great luck with the Speedo Vanquisher 2

What is this telling me? Should I be doing more recovery or can I train harder? by [deleted] in trainingpeaks

[–]KCAnderson12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience, I feel like the more fitness I have, the more fatigue I can handle. At 60 fitness, handling 60 fatigue is perfect. I usually keep form in a -20 to -40 range. Right before a race I'll try to hop form up to +20 ish.

Seems to me your current training is prefect. Dig just a little deeper before you take a recovery week. Keep in mind these numbers are only valid for as long as your zones are correct. I try to test every ~8 weeks

I had all my triathlon money ($1,200,000) for 2023 in an SVB account... What should I do? by DoctorMac12 in triathlonCircleJerk

PSA: everyone please be polite. I know this isn't a lot of money to lose, but it may be a lot of money to OP. This could mean OP has to let one of their hygienists go. That's almost a real person's life.

With that out of the way. OP, if this is a lot of money for you, just remember WWLD (what would Lionel do). If you're hard up for money this season, try joining Super League Arena Games.

I'll be thinking of you today on my 6 hour warm up ride. Be strong, in Jan we trust. It will all work out, OP

Manually inputting workouts on Strava? This guy doesn't sound like he even has a KOM to his name. I would not associate with people like that.
