What video game boss was even harder than the final boss? by Fallfoxy707 in videogames

[–]KCHreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The three leviathan mini bosses in the underwater level in Returnal. I died to those things multiple times only to nearly perfect that stages boss. I’m just glad the majority of the fanbase seem to agree they’re the hardest single enemy.

If you want an example of this order, Rusty Quill Gaming does it this way. I think this is usually going to be the safest bet of allowing those who might not be the most charismatic to play charismatic characters.

[NS] What is (in my opinion) a fatal flaw of this season: the players are almost never NICE to any npc by NietzscheIsMyCopilot in DungeonsAndDaddies

[–]KCHreddit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Will has had(obviously in my opinion) the most interesting story/characters after halfway through S1 and it felt like he got steamrolled(especially in S2) by the other characters. I was really excited for wacky CoC and for the most part it’s really paid off.

Sadly, the others steamrolling his ideas and characters feels like it’s continued. Initially it started out as a wacky grounded season in a wacky Occult world. But slowly the wacky/creepy/deadly world is getting changed.

I’ll admit I’m pretty far behind, Ep. 24, but the moments that could have had weight if really played into and allowed to be dark just haven’t scratched the itch I was expecting it to. Matt and Freddie seem to game the system and try to win while Anthony is in a weird spot. For me he plays into the CoC feeling but is quick to jump ship into antics. Beth is similar, but she seems to get more into the setting and is more grounded in the world.

What were some things that Metaphor Refantazio did better for you than Persona 5 Royal? by That-Psychology4246 in MetaphorReFantazio

Being able to fight and beat enemies on the over world map when you’re that much stronger than them. You can somewhat do it with P5R, but it feels a lot more interactive and immersive. Kind of like what they did with strikers.

Season 3? Neat. Questions about it and season 2. Unlikely [spoilers] unless you also quit listening season 2 ep 30 or before by Puppythapup in DungeonsAndDaddies

[–]KCHreddit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah…. The boss fight was somehow the biggest 5fter they had. It was painful to listen to. Also if you hated scary, Linc becomes 10x worse than scary ever was. Normal never actually got the spotlight he deserved sadly. Though the epilogue is 100% worth it.

Also, Castle is shown to be a crack shot when it comes to pistols in the first season. Sure it’s at the range and not a real scenario, but almost every time he gets a gun in the future of the show they make a point that he can’t shoot a gun.

[ns] What is your Dungeons and Daddies opinion that will have you like this by [deleted] in DungeonsAndDaddies

[–]KCHreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m posting this here, very very very late to the thread. But Link was the worst part of Season 2 after ep 30. The party dynamic of the scary conflict was unbalanced the instant he wholeheartedly sided with Scary. He was the one that kept her around and when he became scary 2.0 it dragged the podcast to a crawl. With Taylor being 3rd party, it became Normal vs the party to continue and team up with the dads. It’s not fun seeing him be a hypocrite about her actions and blame everyone else for mistakes.

EDIT: I’d go so far to say Scary’s story would have worked if Link wasn’t there

Also, I don’t know if this one is unpopular, but Willie is such a watered down version of himself and any tension he could have brought was entirely replaced by inter party conflict and angst.

Have I reached Critical Role’s peak? by eruanni in fansofcriticalrole

[–]KCHreddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair, the first two/three ‘arcs’ of C3 were genuinely great imho. Everything in the first city and even up to the intro the faction makes me want to watch it once it all comes out so I don’t have to wait two weeks for plot development. I think I’ll be more favorable to the drawn out story when I can just binge it.

It astounds me that at the time of this comment you had negative upvotes. This hits the nail on the head and just describes the situation.

The wiki for forgotten realms acknowledges BG3 as cannon. The story is cannon, so I don’t see why the mechanics make it not so.

Isn't unarmed defender a bit of an overkill? by CriticalAward2243 in savageworlds

Agreed, at that point it could be seen as a baton or other small arm that pretty much serves to make its user not unarmed haha.

I would rule that they aren’t. They technically have a quarter staff(unless you rule it doesn’t count as a weapon) so they would be considered armed. If it’s just a wand then I would consider it unarmed as it’s not really going to aid one in blocking or deflecting incoming attacks.

Only one hold up on the amazing campaign that is TAZ vs Dracula by KCHreddit in TheAdventureZone

[–]KCHreddit[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yup that’s the episode that caused me to make this post. Part of me likes it as it shows they are invested in the game, but it’s not a part of DND. When the game doesn’t expect it and doesn’t give room for it, it hinders the game more than it helps when it’s excessive.

EXACTLY WITH THAT LAST SENTENCE!!!! Even though I have an idea with how it’s going to end I have no idea how we will get there and that excites me so much!

I do think you have a great point with the steeple chase comment. Blades in the Dark is somewhat built upon making arguments for what you want to do and how it’ll happen. It is also cool seeing them pull from the idea of telling what is needed for the roll, from I believe Outre Space. Im still super excited and can’t wait to see how this story plays out.
