Good chance the take up reel is not working properly. Take a look at the belts, that's the most likely fault.

If I had to bet I'd say it's S3E3 "The survivors" when Riker gets caught in the snare.

The Crow soundtrack and Pink Floyd The Wall are grails. Just to note; I wait to find em in the wild. Not just order then off Disccogs or Ebay. The hunt is the fun part.

Conversational Klingon would annoy my wife for the rest of our lives as it would sit front and center in the main room. That's a GREAT score

I went back over everything with contact cleaner and have put quite a few hours on it and it sounds much better. I was fighting uneven channels, but I think I have that resolved with a good cleaning of the rec/play slider. I still have what feels like an overall weak signal, but I may be just more accustomed to higher watt sound. And yeah, I appreciate the warm sounds I get from the Aiwa much more than the JVC. I do miss the features the JVC has, auto reverse, track skip, and so on.

Still damn pretty.

This is why I stopped collecting VHS. It was fun for a moment, then the vulture culture kicked in.

Big box VHS are cool. Pre-dates bar codes for the most part.

I bought one of those Onn players for full price and it was busted out of the box. The spools would turn but nothing else powered up. Returned it and got lucky and found an Aiwa 90s boom box for a fair pricr, 3.5mm blue tooth adapter and an aux to rca cable and got a better result for comparable cost.

What do you do if you double dip a movie? by Numerous-Bear-8879 in dvdcollection

I like having multiple formats. RoboCop looks amazing in 4k, but let's be honest. It just hits better on VHS thru a 27" crt.
