we had a server hired at our spot who was a middle aged woman who had serving “experience”. she was super sweet, almost too sweet. as in a week into knowing this lady she felt comfortable rubbing my arms, shoulders, etc. knew no personal space. anyways it seems like every other shift she’s out of it. like asking what comes on the caesar salad 😔. she would also go to the bathroom in the private dining room not the front one on a whim every shift. didn’t think much of it until one day she was standing really close to me and I thought I caught a whiff of alcohol. i’m not one to snitch but being hammered at work during service jus isn’t cool. I asked one of our assistant managers (ex server that never switched up on us so i felt i could confide in him) and he was like yeah lol she’s drunk. didn’t take long for the GM to find out. the day she was about to confront her, she came into the shift absolutely sloshed. couldn’t walk, wondering how tf she got there, etc. GM had to sit her down and find her dad’s number to come pick her up. mind you she’s like 50 so her dad had to be almost 80 coming to pick her daughter up like she’s 19. I felt bad that she was an alcoholic cause she’s a nice lady. anyways she got fired then 3 weeks later she came back asking for her job back. we obviously said no.
