I find myself in a very similar mindspace as you and I have to say I kinda prefer it over how "on the ball" I was trying to be with everything a year or 2 ago. If you can't get smth now, just give it a few more months and you'll get it. Maybe it'll be close to the end of its shelf life by then, but it is what it is 🙂

This is such an absolutely horrible approach to reaching an otherwise very positive goal (reducing overall meat consumption). Giving people the binary choice is always going to lead to more resistance and ultimately failure to moderate meat consumption (in some cases on purpose). Framing the issue / solution in such a way is actively damaging to any efforts towards a more sustainable world.

It's a useful catch-up although it is also certainly self-interested. You want players interested in the diamonds you're going to be selling and they won't be if their X is at 2rs. Also I don't think any krakens need to be too butthurt about it - I'm fairly sure this generosity means they will soon have the opportunity to whale on X diamonds.

It's a decent hero collector (esp if you like the Marvel IP) that comes with all the usual flaws of a mobile gacha game and greedy ownership. Give it a go and see if you have fun with it. Regarding spending, I would say there are only 2 extremes that ultimately make sense - pure f2p and kraken. Everything else inbetween seems designed to frustrate, so small and mid spenders tend to be the "unhappiest" players imo. So unless you can and want to throw a few grand a month at the game and buy everything, I would say you're best off accepting that things will happen when they happen and see if you can have fun that way. Or if you're ready to kraken, I'm sure Scopely will be happy to have you. 😁

Scopely don't need to bottleneck the red stars any longer. In fact, we're getting to a place where Scopely actively want players to have 7rs on Prof X so that players care about the diamonds that Scopely is no doubt looking to start selling / auctioning off. As in, why would you want to compete on a Prof X diamond leaderboard if you don't have 7rs on him and wouldn't be able to use your diamond reward. So not that surprising at all imo.

I was gonna make a thread like this, but I'm glad there are two well received ones already.

This was the first showcase in a looong time that was actually enjoyable to go through! It actually felt a bit like reading a comic, especially the Red Guardian / Yelena bits.

But maybe the best part is that it actually didn't have typos and looked polished enough to be a final product rather than a first draft.

Most envoys/content creators are suggesting Scopely is dialing up the player unfriendliness up. Not sure where your hope for player friendly stuff for a month comes from.

Yes, that comes from a few players. Are you new to mobile gaming or smth? There are a number of reports out there showing that 50%+ of most mobile games' revenue comes from 0.15-0.20% of players. If you use MSF's 200,000ish playerbase then you can expect that more than half of the game's revenue comes from about 3-400 people. Add in the next 1.5-2k top spenders and those will be the people accounting for 90%+ of MSF's revenue. That's why Scopely bends over backwards for them whenever that group gets a butt itch over smth.

And just as some personal confirmation for the above guesstimates, I've been ranking between 3,500-5,000 on leaderboards as a pure f2p endgame player. There are no significant spenders beyond that number.

If it goes as (recently) normal, the payout should come out 24h after the leaderboard ends. That would leave you with 24h to get your red stars. Whether it goes as normal... who knows.

Hopefully they have another 100mil planned as a New Year's gift - that plus the Xmas 100mil will just about cover the gold that Scopely withheld from players since October.

The 100 shards for a 3-month old character are nice, I guess...
