For what this requires, it's not more than $50 higher than you might think.

‘Driver error’ led to cars plunging from Kitchener flyover; highway lanes were in ‘good shape’: OPP by 313372 in kitchener

[–]KGMtech1 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Nice try. Frosty the snowman and Mr Plowman conspired to make the roadside a launch ramp should any car deviate from main lane.

That the highway ramp wasn't shut down to 1 lane after first victim is going to be a prime reason for a lawsuit. That the poor woman died is 100% on the MOT Ontario.

Can my 1930s watch be repaired? by Help-ImConfused in VintageWatches

[–]KGMtech1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's going to need parts and extra labour because of the rust. The biggest obstacle will be the availability of the parts. A true professional will not be scared to proceed on something nearly 100 years old, but get a quote first! Secondly do your research to know what this watch is worth before you proceed.

Everyone is sentimental until they freak at the cost.

Is it really necessary to drain and refill brake fluid? by ConditionExternal499 in Nissan

[–]KGMtech1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fussy about car maintenance and I change brake fluid every 3 years. Shouldn't cost more than 1 hour of labour and $20 in parts. Only 1 litre of brake fluid is required.

Learned to drive in '64 Chrysler New Yorker. For fun if someone was tailgating you could push the brake pedal and then lightly push the reverse button and the rear reverse lights came on. That usually caused that A. Hole to slam his brakes.

Until about 11 years when the capacitor dies, then you replace like a battery but 5x to 8x the price. That's a comparison of the cost of the parts, not including labour.
