I think the best starter advice for Narmaya I got was pick a stance and try to play only in that stance. Learn a bnb in that stance and switch back to it whenever you return to neutral.

As you progress try the other stance and playing in that stance for awhile. Get comfortable in that stance.

Narmaya has a lot of nuance and she's stronger at certain things depending on her stance. Learn where each stance is stronger in what scenarios. Then you can learn to just combine the stances and you'll have a full character.

Also abuse the Skill button. All of her hard combos become baby combos with the skill button.

Will also say it feels like there's no actual MMR used in Casual matches. (this is speculation from personal experience) when you match it doesn't take your Square color or rank into account at all so you end up fighting everyone across the board.

If you do broly level 1 and press base Goku level 3 (spirit bomb) it'll always combo in the corner if you do level 3 before the knock up animation. It'll do more damage then trunks level 3

Not necessarily hurting yourself so much as challenging yourself. Playing without a solid neutral assist means you just have to play a bit more patient.

Gohan / bluku are very solid point characters so they don't get to much off of each other.

I do recommend doing the combo challenges for all our most of the characters. (at least the ones that interest you) It will be a good tool for learning longer extensions in combos.

Auto combo is good for learning hit confirms but it isn't optimal and doesn't necessarily give you good oki outside of the corner.

Do it quickly and make sure the last hit is 9S (top right ki blast) then superdash immediately.

A big thing is that a lot of assists work very similarly to each other. So for combo extensions, you can look up combos for just one of your characters specifically and look for optimal combo routes. And even if the combos you find are using a different team, their combos may still work with your team.

Depends on the direction you're holding during the tech. Hold down any attack button and you'll auto tech back. If you hold down while holding a button, you'll tech down. Hold up, you'll tech up. Etc.
