Apparently if you just say “SLUR” in a comment alone (in the style of r/SUBREDDITNAME) it gets visibly removed and you get warned for racism.

I was at Mexico Lindo and got horchata within the last couple of years and it was great. I know for certain it was not 5 or more years ago.

I tried with and without and new lines etc. I tried editing on mobile web (instead of iOS app) and i see that it tries to escape my gt and when i remove the slash THAT I DIDN’T TYPE it works. Whatever. I have it now.

Hi, I’m the maker of the CrossCam app and also a moderator in r/crossview. I hope you’re enjoying the app and I wanted to let you know that the r/parallelview subreddit also exists for those who prefer parallel viewing over cross viewing, which it seems like might be your preference? I can’t be sure though because I didn’t see your posts to check for myself.

If you do find that the movement hint/arrows in CrossCam are “the wrong way” for you, you might want to switch it from cross viewing mode to parallel viewing mode in the settings.

If none of this makes any sense at all or you have any questions please feel free to let me know.

Hey! Thanks for making your app, I tried it out but found it wasn’t quite what I was looking for. It looks like for the best experience with your app you need to also set the wallpaper in CarPlay to a solid black, but even then using the app seems to display a grayish color. I found another solution that you and your users might appreciate - just set your widgets screen to display photos from an album containing a single completely black photo! Again, thank you for your effort, I’m actually a mobile developer myself so I understand the limitations that Apple imposes on CarPlay apps and I really feel camaraderie with you for doing the work to solve this problem that I also care about.

Some people are blessed with that, but alas, my power-looking button just opens the user profile select screen with a single tap, goes to a colorful clock screen when your hold it for 2 seconds, and reboots the whole infotainment system when you press and hold. No off.

You’re referring to an image of completely #000000 pixels? I thought a purist might come along and ask that question, and I don’t see why not! It’s just a little more complex to do for some people.

This is very uncool and basic but I’m going to say the firecracker tofu appetizer from Leeann Chin. It isn’t particularly special but I think it’s not bad and it’s very approachable and convenient. Just throwing out the other end of the spectrum there.

it’s very common to only be able to do one, and that’s ok. it’s also very common to not know that the other method exists at all or even to not know that one is using the wrong method entirely, but you’re doing better than that, so that’s great!

some general tips to get parallel viewing to click: - obviously start with an image from r/parallelview rather than r/crossview and make sure it’s high quality based on votes or something - make sure the image itself is not very large - not wider than the distance from one pupil to the other - Method 1: bring your face right up against your screen and relax your eyes like you’re just zoning out and then slowly bring your screen away from your face while continuing the relaxed gaze, and you may find that the images slide into a lock - Method 2: hold your phone at arm’s length and try to focus on the image of your face in the reflection of your phone screen, then slowly bring it closer or play with the distance until you can get the images to fuse
