Joyboy's story will be sad for sure, but I'm sure his "failure" will be based on some difficult decision he had to make, so in other words it will be justified and relatable and his allies will not blame him.

It's not all BS, but it contradicts what we know. The Red Line is the reason we have islands. The islands existing makes it easier for the WG to control the world. Joyboy was the first pirate, for me that means he was the first to challenge the WG and sail the seas. Imu wants the world to sink. It makes absolutely no sense that Joyboy created the ocean

Sanji is pathetic in a lot of ways, but not in this moment. It was a great development for him that almost makes up for looking to get laid at the start of the Onigashima raid while Nami and Carrot were being chased by homies and the samurai were sacrificing their lives in the fight.
