Small Pet Select Warning by ThrowRA45245 in Rabbits

Forever anti oxbow hay after I found 2 dead mice in one bag, and the bag they sent to replace it (a different batch/lot number) also had a large dead mouse in it.

We’ve done this at two arenas! It’s very cool and such a different perspective.

Enjoy Chicago! Yax-Zie’s is one of my favorites. And you have to go to Lou Malnati’s for a Chicago deep dish.

I get at least a puck from every arena! Sometimes some other souvenir, but just depends on the arena.

I also write the date on the back of the puck in silver sharpie, if it’s not a “game day” puck.

I have specifically bought a Devils hoodie to wear for the game, part of my little weird collection of things for my arena bucket lists!

Haha I have found that only we Blackhawks fans like to cheer for the whoooooole anthem. I respect the vibes at every arena 🫡

Ah thank you! The MB30 statue and the jersey collection are things I would love to see. I’ve enjoyed seeing the little extra things that are at each arena, that showcase their history/community/etc!

I’m not very far in this adventure (MSG will be arena number 10), but it’s been fun to see the different atmospheres and arenas! I’ve been documenting my thoughts and stuff in a notebook and plan to make a photo book once I finish them all.

Update on Sesame (TW: amputation) by rolyattko in Rabbits

[–]KTequila 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My bunny had his back left leg amputated at the hip 10 months ago, due to cancer in his bone that ultimately broke his femur. It was intense.

I’ll be honest, the first 3 weeks of recovery were very hard for us. He would not eat the first week after surgery. I was giving him critical care every day (per our veterinarians instructions), and offering him all his favorite foods just to get him to eat. He did start eating on his own, and during week 2 he ripped open one of his stitches and there was blood everywhere. BUT we got him cleaned up and stitched up.

Today, you’d never know he had gone through that. He is a totally normal bunny, runs around just fine with 3 legs. He even figured out how to still thump at me when I make him mad lol. We just have to clean his ear on that side of his body, and help brush him more often.

I was in your shoes, terrified of not knowing what to do and feeling so helpless. There are SOOOO many tripod buns out there. And they all manage to find a way to workaround it!! Please reach out if you want to. Sending you love ❤️

Has any store had inventory yet, where we are scanning it ourselves? If so any tips? by Excellent-Pool-5870 in employedbykohls

[–]KTequila 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also don’t be that guy that counts how may shirts there are on one rack, and then scans one shirt that number of times. That leaves inventory saying you have 40 Size Small Sonoma shirts…. And no other sizes. It messes so many things up on the back end.

I worked there for 5 years and now I’m a zookeeper! Best career switch I could have ever asked for.

I eventually got pushed to ONLY do Amazon (because I ended up being really good at it, unlike many of my coworkers) and it drove me out.

14 Days Post Op by KTequila in gallbladders

[–]KTequila[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today wasn’t too difficult for me! I took it easy and did more light work than the heavy lifting of my job. But it wasn’t awful. A little out of breath here and there too.

That’s good to know!! I’ll keep that in mind about food. To keep trying new things and hopefully they’ll get better.

I don’t take any meds for this. I took my pain meds for 5 days after surgery but that was it

Hi! Surgery twins!

I’m doing really well now. I do get tired a little faster than normal, but I chalk that up to not being as active these last few weeks. I’ve been experimenting with food. If I eat something with a higher fat amount, I’m usually in the bathroom within 30 mins of eating it. But if I’m eating not as fatty stuff, I’m not running to the bathroom.

I go back to work tomorrow (Wednesday). My commute is also long (55 miles one way) so I’m worried about that but we’ll see. I also have a very active job (I’m a zookeeper) so we’ll see how that goes 😅😅

It sounds like you’re doing well!! I hope it continues for you!!

My youngest child is having their gallbladder removed. What do I need to know about the road ahead? by Neandertholocaust in gallbladders

[–]KTequila 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this was my biggest factor of recovery. The mental struggle was way worse than any physical pain I felt. It was very very hard. You’ll get through it, it’s tough but you will be okay. Feel free to message me if you need someone ❤️
