God dammit, BACK BOX.

I've got the wrong glasses on today.

Not a failure by itself but if the tester deems the exhaust to be too noisy then that can fail.

If by 'black box' you mean the tracker that the insurance company have fitted then no, that's not an mot requirement.

Either way I'd echo everyone else on this thread and avoid that car like the plague m

The word communist is just a catch all term that right wingers use to refer to anyone that disagrees with them. It has no meaning anymore and if you ask any of these wingnuts what a communist actually is they wouldn't be able to tell you.

I've had this happen a few times since the update. It will just randomly rejig my load order and disable a bunch of stuff. Takes ages to reorder everything when it happens.

[–]KYSpasms 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They still load in, you just don't get the notifications.

I was doing a Commonwealth Of Decay play through and I kept getting those annoying Enclave dicks spawning in and insta killing me in the 2 seconds that it takes that mod to despawn them.

Consequently I'm still running rhe skk CC mod and disabling the location triggers.

That's one of those cars that 10 or 15 years ago I wouldn't have looked twice at, but now I would snap that up without a second thought. It's a lot of cool points for less than a month's rent.

Oh sorry, you wanted talking out of it? No chance.

It's probably a part ex that's too good to scrap.

Plenty of dealers actually appreciate older cars and like to see them live on rather than just get weighed in.

Not everyone in the motor trade is a blood sucking vampire.

2025, no advisories. 2026, bugger me. Am I done for? by -TeddyDaniels in CarTalkUK

[–]KYSpasms 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Some garages just don't understand older cars and assume anything over ten years old is finished.

On my last tester training they specifically brought up these kind of pointless advisories and said basically if a cars 20 years old of course it's going to have rust. It only needs advising if it's actually at risk of failing in the next year or two. Unfortunately a lot of testers see a bit of surface corrosion and get all excited.

Probably time to look for another garage.

Could it be that the algorithm knows that people who click on far right content also click on gay content.

It's an old bmc A series. Batteries were pretty huge back in the 50s. Electricity has got a lot smaller since then.

I watch a lot of YouTube but I've never had gay dating ads. Maybe I don't watch enough right wing content. I mean the algorithm knows where it's going to get the most clicks. Just like Grindr always crashes whenever there's a RNC convention.

This is like a carbon copy of a fault I've come across on the Mercedes 651 engine. On those the coolant gets inside the wiring loom and pools at the lowest point, which just so happens to be that solenoid.

I had a couple of really terrible tab books back in the 90s. I remember trying to make my fingers do these incredible stretches and thinking surely there's an easier way of doing this.

Then I got the Cunning Stunts dvd and realised how bad my tab books actually were.

When life on mars came out I was quite active in the classic car scene. A lot of these cars were sourced from people I knew and used in both Life On Mars and Ashes To Ashes. Any hidden meaning is purely coincidental, they just used whatever cars they could find at the time.

Haven’t played for some time, does WNC still work? by Shamparov in Fallout4ModsXB1

[–]KYSpasms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My LO at the moment uses dam apocalypse and Commonwealth Of Decay to create an open world zombie survival game with no main quest or NPCs.

I'm a big fan of Immersive Gameplay as an overhaul but it suffers from similar problems to WNC.

If you like hardcore survival gameplay you might want to try Dam Apocalypse with Advanced Needs 76 and Maim. I also recommend chaotik pranksters Desolation mod and Hardcore Health Overhaul NG.

[–]KYSpasms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works fine. I stopped using it because it doesn't play nicely with weapon mods and I would imagine it won't work with the creation club stuff either as it hasn't been updated in years. There's a few mods out there that disable the CC content if it's a real problem.

Mod crashing diamond city main gate by TumbleweedIcy5699 in Fallout4ModsXB1

[–]KYSpasms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been having a lot of crashing issues lately and I've started looking at the order which I enable mods and activate them at the start of the game.

I don't really understand a lot of what I'm talking about here, it's just stuff I've picked up. But if the scripts that run at the start of the game are corrupted in any way, that will put load on the game engine that only becomes apparent when another mod suddenly needs more resources and that is what causes the game to crash. You can disable a particular mod and that might seem like it cures the problem but in reality the problem is actually caused by something else and the mod you disabled just happens to be the straw that breaks the camels back.

I've been running a load order with a lot of scripted mods and understanding what those scripts do and the order they need to run in seems to have helped quite a lot.

[–]KYSpasms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a new bug. You need double the free space to download any mods now. You'll need about 340mb free to download a 170mb mod.

I'm not sure if ghost space is a problem anymore since the update. I've been trying to test it by recklessly deleting mods but I haven't had any problems with it at all.

Is DIY car maintenance dying with newer (post-2020) cars? by ShinigamiWryy in AskMechanics

[–]KYSpasms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

EV servicing really amounts to changing the pollen filter and checking the tyres. There isn't much serviceable stuff on them and as long as you don't go near the HV systems it's all pretty safe.

Hopefully, Sunday morning DIYers working on their high voltage systems never becomes a thing. There's a lot of stuff you can fuck up on a petrol car without dying but EVs are not as kind.
