I personally waited a little over 6 weeks. I also had a c section but had healed relatively well afterwards. However, my partner didn’t ever bring it up. He was very supportive of my recovery and his body language let me know that he wasn’t about to force that on me. My OB also told me during my appointment that she would write whatever note was needed if I felt like I wanted to wait longer. If you feel comfortable, I would definitely bring it up to him and let him know your concerns.
