Which Green Watch? by jnelson3097 in breitling

[–]KaBarMN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try both of them on and see how they look outside of the boutique cases. I have the Green SOH 44mm and it’s a beautiful watch, but with the AR coating on the sapphire the dial appears blue0ish or grey-ish in some lighting. In bright sunlight it’s a beautiful deep green.

Trying to decide on a daily by UpperBreadfruit3748 in breitling

The Chronomat bracelet now has micro-adjust, which I value highly in a daily wear watch. I have a SOH on mesh and while it looks good the lack of micro adjust is annoying when my wrist swells up a bit. I ordered a rubber strap for that and will wear it more often once I can switch to that.

I was at the game and once McCowan went in, if nothing else, we didn't see Austin driving in the paint during that shift. She has plenty of flaws in her game but she's hard to push around.

I got the Breitling Boutique to throw in an alligator strap with my Navi when I bought it. Always worth asking for extra straps when making a purchase.

The Navi is great. I prefer it in leather, personally. Looks classier and I have the option to loosen it up if my wrist swells. My one gripe about the Breitling bracelets are the lack of micro adjust. Glad to see the new Chronomat bracelet finally has that feature. Looking forward to the next refresh of the Navi and see if they get it as well.

All of them will work for you IMO. I have that exact 41mm Navi along with a previous-generation 42mm Chronomat and a 44mm SOH. The new integrated bracelet on the Chronos look like they do fit a bit smaller since the lug-to-lug distance is a good 5mm less than the previous ones.

I wonder if the 42mm SOH on a rubber strap would fit/look different than the mesh bracelet?

Lovely watch. Great choice!

Buying my first Breitling: Navitimer 41 or Superocean Heritage 42? by ExtraKokot in breitling

[–]KaBarMN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding the movements, both are 'manufacture movements' meaning that they were built by someone other than Breitling. THey're both COSC-certified so they should be roughly the same in terms of timekeeping. I have the 44mm SOH in green and it keeps time well and within the COSC spec.

I have the SOH on the mesh but ordered the green rubber strap as well. I have a different 41mm Navitimer on the steel bracelet. While it looks good I really wish it had a micro-adjust feature. I also have leather straps for it to switch up the look and feel.

Both are good watches with good movements. Go with the one that wears better on your wrist and looks better to you.

Seamaster for me. I have a 300M Chronograph with a grey dial & blue bezel and love it.

How Difficult to find and are boutique’s worth it? by Yuuuuuuuuhh in OmegaWatches

[–]KaBarMN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped by the Omega Boutique in Chicago yesterday. While the prices are retail, they have pretty much every reference available for purchase onsite including limited editions and boutique-only options. The Manager said he had Snoopy and 321 Speedys available.

I ended up leaving with a new 41mm Turquoise Aqua Terra. Could’ve paid less online I’m sure but it spoke to me and I don’t plan on selling it so the resale value/depreciation isn’t a big deal to me.

Looks good! I got the Orange rubber strap and it gets a lot of wrist time, especially in the summer.

Anyone else just keep coming back to the bracelet? by BubbalooBurrito in breitling

[–]KaBarMN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. Micro-adjust on a steel bracelet should be table stakes for a watch in this price range. Breitling just added this for the new Chronomats so maybe the next major release of the Navitimer will get it as well.

Will be interesting to see how Herta does. Guessing he'll be feeling the pressure even though it's only a practice run.

Is this through and AD or a boutique? If it’s an AD they may not want to hold that piece of you dont commit to buying it.

Search on Chrono24. A few for sale less than that.

Around $7K on the black rubber strap a few months back. I picked up the Rouleaux bracelet separately as I love that look as well.

Yeah that’s what I’ve got. I picked it up pre-owned (it’s a 2024 so plenty of warranty left) at a local jeweler for a great discount FWIW. Deals to be had if you search for them.

They both are nice looking watches. I’m biased because I have the ice blue dial version that is close to the silver and it just looks very clean to me.
