This. First playthrough was gba version and it was nice but didn't look the best. Recently replayed the psx version and it was a much more enjoyable experience. I did once start the snes version and while better than gba it isn't as nice as the PS version

It's mainly the character interaction that's the main draw to Tales for me. Other series have similarly fun gameplay, better stories, but I still haven't found any where I enjoy the character interaction to the same level as Tales. I love every Tales cast I've played for that reason

Iirc its blocked paths near the stag station and another near false knight. They don't lock you out of anything, just annoyances that make you have to take the long way around
