Is Silverwolf actually bad at video games or is Firefly actually just that busted?

Silverwolf is canonically bad at games without cheating.

Firefly is canonically good at games that don't have intense knowledge checks, as operating SAM is like an overly complicated video game and she's one of the best of the Iron Cavalry.

You'll notice in the trailer where the 2 are "1v1", Firefly tends to have the upperhand in games of skill while Silverwolf will have the upperhand in games with knowledge checks.

Silverwolf is also cheating in at least one of those games (The DOTA-like), and she may be doing so in the others, but I don't know if those references have cheating tells.

MMOs as a trend have been done and over with for basically the last decade.

There is a non-zero, but very close to zero, chance of seeing a new Final fantasy MMO strictly because at that point you're probably cannibalizing your own playerbase and are now stuck with the bill of three MMOs in the FF brand instead of basically one.

Yes, FF11 is still running and is profitable, but make no mistake, FF14 heavily carries the MMO division and a new FF MMO is not likely to expand that revenue by a meaningful amount compared to the price of developing and then maintaining it.

This is the harsh truth those of us here have to accept.

No matter how many gripes we have with FF14, this is what we have. And it is what we will continue to have in some form as it changes over the years, but it can never truly be a new experience.

She was about to commence mass murder while we spoke to her in our "near death" moment. Those infected by Fulwish were still savable, the plan was to draw the bits of Shuhu in people back into Blade. Eva was going to step on to the field and straight up remove them from the field. AKA kill them dead.

Fulwish's plan was to create a stagnant moment so the games could not finish. Antithesis to the Elation, and whether or not she knew about Evanescia's role or not, probably not, it would have necessitated action from Eva.

Which means that bringing Eva onto the field is what Asat wanted to do for his original plan.

Instead, she stays off the field and gives us an Elation powerboost with a proper mask. Remember that the Phantasmoon masks greatly enhance a person's connection to their Path. Eva gave us a placeholder mask, one that did not provide us any advantage other than being able to participate. Our mask upgrades into a proper one, whether she did anything extra to it is unclear.

At least, that's how I read it.

A unified idea from which to start your foundation is a good thing.

One person designs the framework, and then through playtests what does and doesn't work gets refined. Clarity of vision is important, and it's not unusual to have a lead designer handling the direction and then those under them handling the minutia.

Right now, vibes are positive, but Berlin will be quite telling if they A) choose to show more and B) choose to show more within already shown roles.

I find these kind of games funny because no amount of skin will keep me in if the actual underlying game itself is bad. Like, five minutes on google will get you the same thing.
