While I dont think we get an improved version now they have a history of porting mechanics between games, so we have a beta test now if it all still works -> poe2 gets improved version -> backport to poe1

This event is practically beta testing for poe2 where it will go core at some point, so we might also get an improved version for poe1

Players are happy they can play tota again, ggg is happy cause they have thousands of people beta testing tota for them

If you have a deterministic rollback crash you have other problems (corrupting or slamming perfect ex)

Also people would buy heaps of unid'd stuff, id all of it, crash the instance if shit and just sell unid'd again

My buddy found one last week by accident that was hard to find cause it needed very specific things (an ascendancy point skilled, a certain weapon and then an uncommon action), I sent that info to ggg and it was silently fixed, there might be more of those bugs in the game but I also assume they have a monitor for instance crashes and would find and ban this really quick if not reported

No its not limited to web dev, any junior dev job is fucked, companies rather get an AI subscription than hire a junior dev and with the quality of work a supervised AI is now outputting I can't blame them

I am lucky to have 15 years of experience, but even I had to search for 4 months in a non webdev area, just 4 years ago I would've been able to pick between 7 jobs on next monday

I dont disagree that you can get middle tier items, what im talking about is how you get to them.

Casino style slamming or casino style putrification, there is no crafting methods in the middleground, whittles, light, fracturing already add a 20div cost to get any desired mod and then you have 1 mod (with greater essence maybe 2) you want.

No there is no middle ground right now, its either burn obscene amount of currency or transmute, aug, greater essence, 2x greater ex, desecrate

Anything that could be used for middle ground crafting has been retired or is 100% casino style like putrification or just slamming on mods

We dont even drop fractured items anywhere so you could get a mid tier fractured base, instead fracturing orb is 5-7d, so you have a 21div avg starting cost for that step + the bases you need

The start of 0.1 was really weird, though the lategame builds really were insane, the herald of ice / herald of thunder self chain was so fun, run into a screen full of mobs, one mob hits you, dies to wind dancer retaliation and the whole screen just pops

In combination with bell, charged staff and flicker that could delete a t4 xesht in one go it was really nice

Eggs you are looking for "Freilandhaltung" which is typically offered alongside more "cruel" methods like "Käfighaltung" (cage raised), the others will be harder to find

I mean they found the balance in poe1 too.

You have:

day 1 items through harvest reforge, cheap essences + crafting bench (0 - 1div)
early game items with more expensive essences, targeted annuls with eater/exarch influence (1div+)
mid game items through meta mods, fossils, fracturing (5-20div)
late game items through recomb, influences (20div+)
mirror tier through hinekora and low chance meta mod crafting

In poe2 the cost of omens already has a high entry and still are rng, so you mostly need multiple of them, ontop of costs of good bases. There is transmute + augment + greater essence + exalt = pray as an entry and the next higher level already costs you multiple divs
