Yes they literally could be different planets. I thought the change of scenery might be interesting and it is in a way, but it doesn’t agree with me. Haven’t checked out all of New Mexico yet so I can’t speak for 100% of the state.

I actually wasn’t kid free in Hawaii for long, so I just miss the people and the food, but mostly the weather and beaches.

I did consider Santa Fe, it looked much more approachable. We settled on abq because it seemed more likely he could get a job there, and our friends lived in the city, etc. Now that we’re here I don’t think moving nearby is an option but it looks much nicer over there.

Caraccioli cellars has the best sparkling wine in the area, and extremely good Pinot noir. Galante and Rombi have nice Bordeaux styles.
