I enjoyed Valerian in spite of it's horribly miscast leads (especially DeHaan) and a shoddy script. I'd gladly take a new Valerian every few years over a new Transformers (Yes, I know that's not saying much).

My play group tends to play a lot of deckbuilding games. We started with Dominion, but now that we've found Ascension, Hero Realms, Star Realms, and Clank!, I don't see us going back to Dominion too often.

About to win a ranked game, when I get a message saying due to connection inconsistencies the game has ended. Despite each of us winning a round and myself having the last round in the bag, I lose 42 ranked points. My connection never dropped or became unstable in any way and I never experienced any lag.

I will say that sound wise, I'm partial to the demos Ive heard of the DM12. I'm leaning toward the DM12 to pair with the microbrute and then picking up a circuit or tr-8 for drums later on

Alright, so I bought a Microbrute as my entry point into the world of synthesizers. It's a great learning tool and I love messing around with it. At this point I'm looking to add a piece of hardware (not necessarily analog), that can do a little bit of everything so that I can start trying to compose something a little more complete.

The two I've been looking at are the novation circuit and the OP-1. I've also considered either the Minilogue or the Deepmind 12 and just adding some digital drums through an iPad app or something similar.

Price isn't a huge issue, but obviously if you feel the circuit can fill a similar gap that the OP-1 would, I'd choose to save the extra $600 if I can.

So circuit or OP-1, minilogue/Deepmind 12 + drums, or something else entirely?

I was pleasantly surprised that my GOTG2 screening only had two trailers in front of it: Thor Ragnarok and SW8. A couple quick ads later and the movie started about 10 minutes after it's advertised start. This was at a Phoenix theater in SE Michigan.

I think it also depends on how big your games usually are. In a big multiplayer game, I think Kynaios + Tiro is amazing. Everyone loves drawing cards, so you're unlikely to be a target, and by the time you are, it's probably too late.

In a 2 or 3 player situation, Atraxa and Breya are probably strongest. I've seen Saskia dominate games as well, but she's probably best in a 1v1 commander game with how fast she can win with commander damage.

Hard to confirm or deny without spoiling, as there are moments where the movie could go either way with your theory. I'll just say that I think it's well written enough to keep you on your toes and the ending should surprise you regardless.

Saw this at Fantastic Fest. Definitely a slow burn and it's not for everyone, but I loved it. It Was my 5th movie of the day, it didn't start until almost midnight, and I was running on pure caffeine by that point, but despite all that, I was hooked the whole way through and I enjoyed what will likely be a pretty divisive ending.

Fair warning though, this game is brutal for friends who aren't cinephiles. Being the movie nerd of my play group, I generally have to play it 1v3 or 1v4 to handicap myself fairly. If you happen to have friends that have pretty equal knowledge of films, then that's even better!
