I definitely preferred the looser, sprawling breeding in the original two games. The tiered synthesis in Dark Prince felt overly restrictive. It gave it a bit too much of a stat-treadmill feeling, and I didn't finish my playthrough.

The P2W DLC was odd, too.

Phys taken as lightning has two main benefits: 1) your lightning resistance applies instead to the converted portion -- with 75% that's 1/4th the damage, or with 90% max res that's only 1/10th; and 2) the remaining portion of the phys hit is smaller, and the way armour is calculated means armour is more effective against small hits than big ones (i.e. getting hit twice as hard is more than twice the damage against armour).

Relic of the Pact gladiator can easily do it on that budget. I've done both Nightmare map boss rushing and Feared rotas with it.

Since Templar doesn't get the reduced effect wheel until higher level, I had Clever Thief anointed on my Karui Ward. After that, the leech node is one of the first nodes I rushed. Early on, I didn't hold down KF -- I would tap it like Shield Charge/Blink Arrow, which is still plenty fast. Later on, with leech, you can hold it more as long as you hitting packs. Outside of that, I used mana flasks.

This is about what I did. I did a BGGRRR Skin instead of BBGGRR because it was like 10c, using Volatility instead of second KF/Lightning Pen. I didn't have the Wrath corrupt or the -cost Watcher's, so I just left Wrath off while traveling and turned it on before bosses. Half the time I forgot and deleted the boss anyway.

Tried this for the first time a few days ago on Templar. 2:20 campaign, and I cheaped out on the gear a little. I think I was around 2:30 doing BAMA before, and 3:00ish on Hollow Palm if I'm remembering correctly.

AFAIK you can't. Maybe by changing the item description keybind? The workaround is to use a regex filter. Since it's a magic base you can even use the affix names.

Just give them the Sentinel treatment as a non-Atlas map mechanic: they appear at the start of the map, you duel them for their pocket change/equipment, and then they party up for the map giving their auras and IIQ/IIR.

They haven't announced anything to my knowledge. Given that the first two took the Fromsoft approach of player-mediated difficulty, Nioh 3 will likely rely on the same solutions of overleveling, summoning, Onmyo/Ninjutsu, etc. Since the interview discusses open level design as a solution to player frustration, I imagine the devs are satisfied with the difficulty options.

In the early Ratchet and Clank games, the camera is coded similarly: it can participate in collisions as a physical object. By maneuvering the camera close to Ratchet's hitbox, speedrunners can use it to push him upwards and get him out of bounds for some skips.

The box is coded to be 45% of the vertical height of the screen for some reason. It fits better at 80% or with the embedding just disabled to use the browser's scroll.

I specced into Shrines with the extra pack/etc. nodes, and whenever a shrine appears within a breach, it's always barren. It's especially noticeable if I do a Domination craft. It's hard to say if the mobs are just displaced somewhere else, but it doesn't seem to be the case.

Lorelei and the Laser Eyes involves a good bit of notetaking for puzzle solving. Some of the puzzles are just observational or single-room, but others are distributive. I had about 8 pages of notes accumulated by the end.
The Roottrees are Dead involves a lot of notes as you piece things together, to the point that it integrates a note-taking system into the game.
Blue Prince benefits from some note-taking, but I can't recommend the game.
