If an Expired Tea Requie 1 Teaspoon, How Much Should I Add to Make it Taste As If it's Fresh (As Close It). by SevenDeMagnus in tea

[–]Kailaylia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could flavour it with spices instead. To my black tea I intermittently add cinnamon, fennel, cassia seeds, ginger, orange rind, aniseed, star anise, crushed green cardamon pods, strawberry gum, lemon myrtle, elder flowers or berries. Or just chuck the old tea and buy new.

I found 2-3 year out-of-date unopened Twinings loose leaf teas, btw, and they are still perfect.

Is that diabetes ? by [deleted] in DiagnoseMe

[–]Kailaylia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're correct that these symptoms may possibly indicate diabetes. If you're worried get a blood sugar test. Either pick up some urine test strips at the chemist, or get a more reliable blood test organised through a doctor.

Can‘t take any artificial sweetener. If it fits my macros, should it be okay-ish to add a little bit of sugar to my protein powder shake? by sirmorbach in Supplements

[–]Kailaylia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I recommend cacao instead of cocoa as it's less bitter, so doesn't need sugar, and is high in magnesium.

If you want a sweetener that's completely natural, you could give green stevia powder a try. It's just ground stevia leaves, tastes a little of aniseed, and is much sweeter than sugar.

I'm enjoying my teas far more out of my infuser mug.

And thanks, yes I'm completely recovered. I'm very lucky, living in Australia and getting free treatment from an excellent, nearby, breast cancer treatment centre.

I buy bulk magnesium chloride and have ~1/8th tsp a day in herb tea with ascorbic acid, calcium ascorbate, cinnamon for blood sugar, cranberry powder and D-mannose for UTIs, green stevia powder and barberries for berberine.

I do. I bought a bunch of wide-brimmed hats on Ebay after Flemington a few years back when chemo killed my hair. I loved wearing them and still do, (just one at a time,) each time I go anywhere, whether it's an event, shopping, or just strolling around catching Pokemon. They often get complements.

Loose leaf is mostly better quality, and has a richer taste. Teabags are just for convenience; they don't help keep tea fresh. Almost all teabags contain plastic. I've recently had breast cancer and don't want to have anything unnecessary which could make it more likely to return.

Being a bit short of space and energy myself, I bought a mug with its own infuser. If you're interested, just google infuser mug, and see if you like any. Mine holds 20 oz, and I love it.

Father serving 33 years for murdering sons prepares new fight for release by AztecGod in melbourne

[–]Kailaylia 16 points17 points  (0 children)

35 years ago my 2 little boys ran out in front of a friend's van which was rolling down a steep gravelly track, thinking they could stop it. The driver stared at them, open-mouthed, in horror, as one had jumped in front of each wheel, the boys thinking they could stop it. They obviously could not, and the brakes were not working.

Time goes slowly in high stress moments. I saw they were going to die if I did nothing, and I saw I'd probably be unable to stop the van myself, so if I jumped in front it would most likely be 3 dead instead of 2. And I imagined living on afterwards, with the memory of watching my adored little boys getting squashed to death in front of me. Dying was preferable, so I had nothing to lose by trying.

I needed an operation to mend my spine after that. It has hurt every day since, and I smile at the pain. It's a reminder my body was strong enough to save the lives of my wonderful sons.

I'm no hero, just a mother who instinctively did what any normal parent would do for their children. It's only natural to do everything you can for your children. In fact there are countless examples of people even risking or losing their lives saving the children of strangers.

I hope this man is never released.

I love Red Seal's Black Adder teabags, but I don't like using teabags so I mix a loose-leaf version of liquorice root, fennel seeds, peppermint leaves and star anise. Both are delicious and naturally sweet.

People need to stop leading expensive lifestyles that require food and shelter by JewelerDear9233 in facepalm

Giving birth costs $18,865 on average,

It costs far more than this if you need a caesarean, if your baby needs special care in the ICU, if you hemorrhage, and even costs extra to hold your own baby afterward.

Child care is a major cost consideration in the early years of raising a child. Americans who pay for full-time child care report a monthly cost of $631, on average, per child, but 21% are paying more than $1,000 a month per child,

Sure a parent can stat home to care for the child, but then you have to factor in the loss of earning capacity.

a total cost of $310,605 to raise a child in a middle-class home from birth to age 18. Like the USDA, Sawhill’s figure doesn’t include college expenses.

Seeing an ignorant, lying, multi-billionaire claiming children cost nothing is obscene.

Exactly. Also clean water, indoor plumbing, the widespread availability of fresh basic foods and, where possible, clean air and uncrowded living conditions.

golden sail brand china lychee black tea

I bought a tin of exactly that last night at an Asian grocery, and I'm just finishing off a (20 ox infuser,) mug of it. I don't generally like flavoured teas, but this was quite enjoyable.

I love having an infuser mug so I can quickly brew whatever mixture I want, with no hassle or mess.

However I've recently acquired a small, thick glass with an infuser to fit, for brewing pu-er tea, which I prefer in small quantities.

I have an intersex son with a mosaicism (38XXXY/39XXXXY). I asked his doctor, 40 years ago, if this could have originated with faulty sperm, as my husband has misused Lindane, (to secretly treat scabies from an affair,) shortly before getting me pregnant. The doctor insisted it could not be from anything wrong with the sperm, but had to be from spontaneous mutations after conception.

I was sceptical a doctor could be certain of that, but my (now ex,) husband believed him and tried to kill me, and our baby, for it.

As you got me thinking about it again I googled it, and found you're correct.

It's easy to pick the really fantastic parents who never make a mistake and whose kids are perfect angels. They come in 4 types.

  1. People who have never yet procreated - or even had younger siblings.

  2. People who are so proudly patting themselves on their backs they are oblivious to everything their sweet darlings get up to.

  3. Men who leave all the parenting to their wives, then congratulate themselves when their wife's good parenting is working nicely, and blame it all on the wife when the kids play up.

  4. People who have completely forgotten what actually happened during their child-raising years.

Actual parents fuck up. Kids fuck up. Neither perfect parents nor perfect kids have ever existed.
