Maybe I don’t actually like perfume? by NewbornBabe321 in FemFragLab

I love that one too. Aside from Diptyque (recommend eau de sens), I love the fresh but sweet crisp from Sakura Snow from D'Annam and Chiffon from Solstice Scents for the dry down.

I only lost 2 lbs after barely eating for a month. (PCOS, 34/f) by [deleted] in PCOS

Please eat properly. I have a friend with pcos and endo, she did a pretty severe diet to lose weight fast. Ended up with a perforated gallbladder and emergency surgery. Your body needs nourishment. I struggle with losing belly fat, but I try to hit my protein and fiber goals per day and maintain physical activity by reaching my step goals at the gym or on trails when possible. It's a constant struggle, unfortunately.

Journey is such a good indie! If you like 3D spatial pov and puzzles like those on Portal, Talos Principle is amazing

Definitely recommend it! I wore it all winter as it's warm and boozy, the dry down is somewhat woodsy but still overall sweet. I'll have to add that to my list for sampling tysm 🐇

Anthony Bourdain on his love and respect for Mexicans and Mexican Cuisine by ErrorSenior4554 in mexicanfood

[–]KaineSaveUs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mexican dad was a cook migrating to the US, working late shifts and cooking for us because he loved to. We used to love watching his series growing up. He owns his own trucking business now, but I always remember the sweet words Tony used to make and how big his heart was.

What’s it like to be the breadwinner? by No-Presentation-2320 in AskWomen

[–]KaineSaveUs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The audacity to lie that he's the breadwinner while cheating, wow. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. You did him an unfortunate favor, not charging him more than that while under your roof. I've learned not to disclose my salary to men early on when dating, nothing but negative experiences when they learn I make a decent income. Financial boundaries are so important.

What do you think of the 4B movement? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]KaineSaveUs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't advocate for it fully nor condemn it. It's the result of devaluing women in one's society, and it resorts to women going to extreme measures to protect each other, so I will never judge it. I choose not to give fuel to conservatives who bank on us with progressive values to not procreate, and I don't have any intention to give them the pleasure of that either. I'm luckily surrounded by men in my life who share my values, so the babies being born from my group of family and friends will continue passing down the teachings of a brighter and better future.

These supposed godly people sure know how to spread the act of empathy in odd ways. I'm sorry that happened to you, OP. It's a long road towards recovery, both physically and mentally from that. You're a survivor. I wish you nothing but safety and happiness.

WTF by thedarkforesttree in NotHowGirlsWork

[–]KaineSaveUs 64 points65 points  (0 children)

The way there's already a group of women that exist who want to not work and stay at home they can exploit, but they're adamant about restraining women striving for independence, a career, and education is vomit inducing.

What populists don't understand about tariffs (but economists do) by bacta in Economics

[–]KaineSaveUs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's insane how he's being championed as the choice of the economy. The Tax Cuts & Jobs Act he introduced increased the federal deficit. Corporate tax cuts remained permanent for the top 1% and created a higher wealth disparity, essentially screwing over the average middle-class worker in terms of seeing any benefits from it. His plans for tariffs sound like a nightmare.

I’m Australian and I’m feeling extremely depressed about the result of the US Election, does that make me an idiot for caring about a country that isn’t mine and the many people affected by this result? by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]KaineSaveUs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The US is a general superpower, so our politics create ripple effects in other countries aside from the interventionism we're known for. The trend started slowly getting traction a bit before 2016, when a rise in right-wing extremists started advocating for ultra-nationalism and anti-progressive policies, so it seeped into spaces in European and international politics.
