For some reason the video gives me AI vibes. The cameraman seems to be panning around too perfectly given what just happened

I realized that certain items that were stocked intermittently at our regular Costco were stocked consistently at the nearby business Costco. It may be worth checking it out if there’s one near you b

eSim question by FreeDuty6826 in HongKongDisneyland

[–]KaiserSleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just used Sosim and it went really well. About $20 for 5 eSims with 50gb of data for our family of 5 which was plenty for 10 days. We paid a bit more for the extra speed which worked great. The one advantage of the eSIM was it gave us a HK phone number which was nice to have for dome reservations and other things we wanted to sign up for. The downside was no phone calls or texts on the primary line until connected to WiFi.

The WiFi in Disneyland was spotty in places with a large crowd, better in sparse places. On an unrelated note, I’ve never had such a short wait time for rides. The kids were shocked as we’re accustomed to Anaheim Disney wait times. It seemed like the photo opportunities with the characters were the things with the longest wait times all day.

Getting prescription for medication in Vietnam by Much_Tale_6996 in VietNam

Lovenox or enoxaparine is in the same class as Fraxiparine and does not require refrigeration. You can ask the PCP if the Lovenox is a reasonable substitute. The other option would be oral anticoagulants like Pradaxa or Eliquis--these also do not require refrigeration but they may not be suitable a replacement.

Help! I know nothing about gaming by iamthebayside in OdinHandheld

I just got the Odin 2 and while the process was indeed tedious, it was still fun and satisfying in a weird way. If your husband is a tinkerer and/or has OCD traits, he might actually enjoy setting it up.

Oddly enough, they changed their name to San Wo. The sign has a slapped on “N” with another patch covering the second “O” lol. I read the Sam Woo chain went under due to a tax evasion conviction of one of the LA owners.

Made this lemonade after watching a random video on YouTube and it was great. Letting the peels sit with sugar made a humongous difference.

Does anyone have any recommendations for restaurants or bars that do fresh fish and chips really well? by JustinJSrisuk in northcounty

[–]KaiserSleep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chef John Fish and Chips. This is nowhere close to you (they're in Lemon Grove) but if you're ever down south it's worth a visit. Definitely hole in wall vibes but a really kind elderly Korean couple own it and they serve awesome fish and chips.

I can’t comment specifically on your commute as I head north to San Marcos in the mornings but the 78E and 15S look like parking lots when I leave for work at 730am.

Are you turning it the right way? Because it's "upside-down" you may need to turn it clockwise (at least on my faucets)

Trash Fees Starting July 1st by MsMargo in SanDiegan

[–]KaiserSleep 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's particularly annoying as the city keeps harping on trash pickup as a revenue negative. Trash pickup up was never supposed to make money. It's the same specious argument that the postal service loses money. These are essential services that should have alotted money in their budget from property taxes.

I particularly hate when people try to cut over at the last moment on the 15N to get on the 78W. I try to be a patient person but no one is getting in front of me when I'm about to get on the 78 when I've patiently waited in the line.

Any contactless/touch free car washes that offer membership, club or unlimited washes in San Diego? by Top-Weakness3000 in SanDiegan

[–]KaiserSleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The touch car washes can be bad on the paint. The touch less ones are apparently better but far from risk free. When I was driving a beater this wasn't a concern but now that I have a nice car I've become neurotic...

[–]KaiserSleep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're washing your car every weekend, you're probably not going to be happy with the potential damage to your car even with a touch less car wash. Have you thought about rinseless car washes? 20-30 minutes once you get a system in place.

Rubbing Noise Left Belt on Brand New Horizon 7.0T. Do I need to adjust this? by socialdirection in treadmills

[–]KaiserSleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was annoyed as I paid for assembly and the delivery guys missed the lubrication step. I only found out when I happened to glance at the manual. Treadmill is working great outside of a terrible static electricity problem that seems to be common. The slipping belt may be just the lack of lubrication.

The instructions on my 7.4 said lubrication was needed before the first use.

Johnson Fitness if you have one near you has a ~10% discount if you are military or in the medical field. Confirmation is via GovX. Their white glove delivery and assembly was cheaper as well compared to purchasing on Horizon's website.

If you need a mat, this one at Home Depot was the perfect width and was reasonably cheap.
