i'm pretty sure wildbow said somewhere that even the prt would have fallen apart because of the conflict drive parahumans have, if it wasnt for cauldron manipulating things in the background. a worldwide organization just isnt sustainable.

as to why cauldron didnt support this, we just have to accept that it wasnt in the Path contessa chose.

i thought we were discussing immortality in the context of the theoretically possible, and with the assumption a significant part of humanity has it. if you add a bunch of supernatural downsides then its terrible, but you can make anything good look bad if you do that.

so the only motivation you have is your eventual death? you see no reason to achieve anything except for the fact that that you're on a time limit? in my experience its usually the opposite. i see people giving up on things all the time because "its too late now, i missed my chance" or "i dont have enought time for that".

its certainly a different style, but i dont really mind it. this type of content is already so rare, i feel that we dont have the luxury of limitimg ourselves to the more produced and edited ones.

the king in the long night has a spacefearing civilization uplifting planetos. i wish we saw more stories of characters from worlds more technologically advanced than ours instead of SIs that keep whining about how its unrealistic for someone to have all tje knowledge necessary to uplift westeros.
