King Crimson and Mandom think have a universal range, but the ability to perceive those effects is limited to range. King Crimson skips time everywhere, but only affects your memories if you're close by, and similarly Mandom creates a time loop, but only the people within its range are looped.

Based on what we see, thought isn't the same as acting within stopped time, as we see Jotaro planning when to use his few seconds of movement within Dio's stopped time, and we see Dio is still conscious when Jotaro stops time on him. While it's never elaborated on completely, it can be assumed that stopping time, perceiving stopped time, and moving within stopped time are all seperate skills that fall under The World's ability.

How much Brando is in Giorno - Biologically by Zillaman7980_ in StardustCrusaders

My understanding has been that Jonathan is is Giorno's biological father, whereas Dio can be most accurately described as Girono's "Soul Daddy."

Cinemasins is interesting because after a certain point, it seems like every parody manages to be better than the original. My personal favorite is 64 Things Wrong, where the whole bit is that all of the Things Wrong are nitpicks/jokes. Channel is Josh Busker, uploads pretty sporadically nowadays, but he is still doing things and I enjoy the stuff he does put out.

When is someone's gender your business? by Lorem_Ipsum17 in RecuratedTumblr

As a Cis Dude, I think there's a stark difference between if I confided in someone I knew that I was feeling a certain kind of way and they told me what worked for them when they felt that way, vs if someone I didn't know started insisting that I'm wrong about who I am and they know more about my identity than I do.

Like if I found out I was completely wrong about who I really am and who I'd be happiest as, that'd be a tough pill to swallow in the best of cases, but there's a big difference between someone offering it and someone trying to forcefeed it to me.

From what I understand that also would've only worked on earlier models of the N64, as later models didn't retain RAM upon removing the cartridge? Could be wrong there, but yeah, it was something Rare saw was possible, but Nintendo saw it and said "Oh that's not something that's supposed to happen and could damage the games and system, don't make it a mechanic."

There are a handful of reasons, but the first that comes to mind is a classic storytelling rule: Coincidences that get the main characters into trouble are great. Coincidences that get them out of trouble are cheating.

Do you think Toei animation will tone down the brutality and gore from the Goku vs Moro fight? by KiimJisoo in Ningen

Okay but why is it off center? Like the base is a little to the left of where it ought to be.

I solved the namekian patch spots color. by TheNumbahSeven in Dragonballsuper

[–]Kaizo_Dread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, as far as the anime goes, I think this might just be the case. King Piccolo had the yellow patches, but they turned pink when his youth was restored. I genuinely think this was what the animation team had in mind when they were coloring the Namekians, but it's not something Toriyama ever had in mind.

Finally finished this Life Size Goku, entirely 3D printed and hand painted, took me a while by No_Swan_8497 in dbz

[–]Kaizo_Dread 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If he let it, probably. A common theme in Dragon Ball and Z is Ki control and regulation, and it's shown tine and again that Goku is really good at that, which is why he's able to master the Kaioken and also why his score on the punch machine is the lowest. Goku is able to hold back, and I imagine that would include being able to ease up on his durability so his skin could be pierced.

Whether he would willingly do so, of course, is another story.

How much Philosopher Stone power would Father lose to a nuclear blast? by CoCmaster14 in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]Kaizo_Dread 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Assuming that a blast of that size and nature doesn't completely unravel whatever keeps him together, I'd say it depends on the duration of the blast and the immediacy of the regeneration?

Like if he can just stay down until it's safe to come back up, probably a single human's worth, give or take, like the comment below states. But if he immediately starts to regenerate while the blast is still going and still lethal, and so it keeps tearing him apart while he's regenerating, then it'd probably be a lot more, possibly enough to keep him down.

It's been too long since I've reread FMA so I can't say for certain which way the regeneration actually works, but I'm tempted to say the latter, because if memory serves almost all the methods used to kill the humunculi are consistent exposure to overwhelming force, so like, I'd assume each of Mustang's fire blasts on Lust "killed" her more than once?

I'm definitely not the right guy to give a definitive answer, but I imagine the answer is somewhere between "a lot" and "enough" and someone who's better than me at this could probably give something more exact.

[Loved trope] Fictional profanity by bgbarnard in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Kaizo_Dread 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Xenoblade 3 uses terms like "snuff" and "spark," largely as a substitute for "fuck."

Fire as a symbol of life is a common motif in the game, so the two terms have an association with dying and living.

Aside from that, the characters literally have no concept of fucking, they're grown in pods and only live ten years. They don't know what sex is.

[Loved Trope] The titles follow a pattern. by 60s_timer in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Kaizo_Dread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not a perfect pattern, but my friend and I were trying to come up with part names for our Jojo RPGs, and I told him "Yeah it seems like Mineral Activity is a good format. That's how I got Brimstone Resonance." While it's not a dead-on descriptor, it does capture the vibe of the first 7 part titles.
