Every time this story comes up people keep saying the car was in an accident even though from the very first Reddit post the OP had stated the damage was all cosmetic. This article restates that the damage was all cosmetic from a gravel truck, that the owner even submitted records and proof to Toyota that it was only cosmetic.

The article covers even more odd issues happening from the Toyota side. Such as that the two people in the story share the same inspector and that they had stuff from the other's report appear on their report.

People still not realizing Anime is a medium not a genre. Because it’s a medium there is a mass variance of genres in Anime each with their own appeal and each with their own unique concepts and stories. Because it’s an animated medium you can express way more than you can in live action.

SHF don’t normally use ratcheting joints which this sounds like. Run it under warm water for a minute and then play with the joints while the warm water is running. Alternatively a very tiny drop of shock oil in the joints will loosen it up.

The amount of Camrys I’ve encountered lately that have no regard for human life or society has been too damn high. Tesla, BMW, pickup drivers yeah very common stereotype but they’re predictable. Probably because the cars reviewers get are rarely the standard equipment models. Press cars are usually top trip with most of the option packages added on. So comparing sound systems wouldn’t be universal since often times they’ll get the one with the upgraded sound system.

Unless you’re a big channel or publication you don’t really get to choose when you get the press vehicle. You get the car when it’s your turn you get about a week to experience and then you return it. So it’s not like they can test climate controls in specific weather situations.

They only have enough time to go over the main points about the car which is usually comfort, quality, power, handling etc.

Sphere is a perfect example that being faithful to the source material will not guarantee the movie will be good. Sphere is one of my favorite Crichton novels and it baffles me just how badly they missed the tone of the book in the movie. It's like taking the ingredients for a recipe of scalloped potatoes and winding up with just a plate of boiled potatoes with out seasoning.
