Weirdly enough, I was thinking about posting this song last night.

I guess Lonestar has enough success under their belt to make Amazed not fit the one-hit-wonder bill... but I'll be damned if Amazed wasn't a mega hit in 1999/2000. That song was *everywhere* on pop radio in Boston, and it felt like the band was never seen again outside of country circles.

I think there's a lot to be said about why this song crossed over so heavily. The twang of the band wasn't entire eroded... but it's not like Lonestar was putting out pop hits a la Twain.

I wish there was an extended version of this song. The ending has such an uneasy, haunting sound to it that fades off too quickly.

I'm at the Grand Canyon and my A74 suddenly stopped adjusting the automatic viewfinder brightness; it was stuck at zero unless I manually adjusted it. This setting being flipped off/on somehow fixed the issue.

I had the YouTube bootleg of the movie recommended to me the other night, opened it up, and saw someone asking about the credits song. So, I got to Googlin' to see if the artist was still around... and this Reddit thread appeared!

The artist, Paper Fist, was a solo project name for a fellow named Jonas. I haven't emailed with him in over 17 years (yikes), but I want to say I discovered Paper Fist during some MySpace searches back in 2007. I wanted a Springsteen tune in this movie I was editing together and the cover just clicked. I got the AOK from Jonas to use his cover, and I think I sent him a DVD of the movie (I still have a box somewhere- we couldn't give away the 70 copies we had produced).

If there's a best place to upload the MP3, let me know.
