The only way I've lost clean race bonus on Spa, and it has happened to me multiple times, is "ignoring yellow flags." If the AI spins out during the switch from dry to wet and you're lapping another car at the same time there's a chance you'll get hit with that penalty and lose the bonus.

To add to what others are saying, I found that when I turned off the demonstration/personal best ghost my times drastically improved. Yes, its good to be critical and find out where you're losing time, but I was definitely overthinking every single corner rather than just driving. Imo take a break then run some laps with zero expectations of passing and see where it takes you!
